We got the family package at Hotel X and breakfast was included. We were so pleased with everything. The restaurant itself is beautiful. The food was delicious with lovely presentation, and the staff serving us was incredibly reliable and kind. We visited on 11/29/25 in the morning and the gentleman managing the restaurant first thing in the morning was awesome! I forget his name (Justin maybe?). And Maria was our server, they were both wonderful. The pancakes are a must order!
Roses were able to help us with a last minute 16-person accommodation on a Saturday night, and we are super grateful. Service was amazing, with Starr really living up to her namesake. Because we were such a large group, a 20% tip was automatically added (we usually tip that anyway), and the calculation was done correctly for both tip and taxes applied only to the sub total. And the food? The food was incredible. Thanks so much for helping us out, and we look forward to visiting when we're in Toronto next.
Very rarely do I write a negative review. However, we had a poor experience last night. I typically always give excuses to the restaurant especially because they were busy. However, my boyfriend’s burger came out completely raw. One patty was cooked, the other was raw. I believe it was the manager we told and he took our plate. He seemed quite annoyed with us. I then watched him bring it to a group of workers who all laughed while staring at the burger. What bothers us the most, is no one said sorry once. Our server, and another person who dropped it off at the table all seemed genuinely annoyed that we sent it back. I’m not sure if serving rare ground beef is just how they serve the burgers here, but we certainly won’t be back. I totally understand that undercooked meat is a regular thing at a restaurant, but the service that followed was rude and made us very uncomfortable. It’s unfortunate because every year during the royal winter fair we stay here and always get dinner at this restaurant. We won’t be back
Amazing time here at Roses Social. Tried a few cocktails and some lunch, everything I tried was phenomenal. Very tasty and well priced items! Will be back at some point in the future.
The atmosphere and food were great! The food came out very fast and I would definitely recommend the beef dip sandwich. The burrata salad and lemon pepper shrimp were also highlights. Thank you Peter for your attentiveness and hospitality! We’d definitely come back if we’re in the area :)
It was "ok." There was an army of staff bustling about but for all that, the service was painfully slow. The food was ok but nothing exceptional. We had a cheeseburger, beef dip, steak frites, and parpadelle Alfredo, plus two dessert. Tab came to $200. I guess it passes for a hotel restaurant.
Roses is that hidden gem you don't know about, but you need to visit. Nestled away on the 2nd floor of Hotel X, roses has an amazing brunch and dinner program that will blow you away. Whether it's the fried chicken sandwich, the heuvos rancheros, or the drinks, Roses Cocina has something for everyone and you should definitely give this place a shot
