Recently had our sculpture sold in their auction. Excellent client service from the first introduction, through the agreement process, safe transportation and strong marketing of our item. It was a successful sale. Special shout out to Kendra and Holly. Highly recommend Waddingtons.
Picked up some items and had no issues. However, wish they had a better seating area/reception for guests who are picking up stuff. Will go a long way in creating a pleasant atmosphere and create brand value.
The worst customer service. (Katie). Emails go unanswered for weeks and still no reply. We were told we would get a return call x3 times. Nothing. We will take our items elsewhere.
Pictures of items on the website are not great, so you really have to go in person to see the items. Their viewing times are very inconvenient. They typically just do 4 hours on a weekend, and on weekdays until 5pm. Maybe most of their clients are retired, but for anyone with a job, that just doesn't work. Make your viewing hours longer. This way you'll have more buyers and your sellers will be happier too with more offers.
In all my 30 years as a certified watchmaker, never ever have I been more impressed with this auction house and I have dealt with 100s and 100s over the years. Recently had some art to sell and filled out their consignment form on line and got an auto reply they will be in touch. One week later no reply. Then sent a new email to their general inquiries asking what happened to my consignment and again after a few days no reply. Obviously they could care less about dealing on line even though they are set up for it. I like to deal on line, so have now contacted another competitor that does reply. Wont waste my time with this company any more.
