My boyfriend has curly hair, so I found Urban Philosophy while searching for salons with stylists who really understand how to cut curls. I am so glad I did, because this place is truly amazing. My boyfriend became a regular, and we happily go out of our way to come downtown for his appointments. Sandra and Elena in particular always do an incredible job on his hair and he gets compliments all the time. They consistently exceed our expectations, and he always leaves the salon feeling pampered and relaxed. If you have not tried this place yet, please do! I want them to be busy (just not so busy that we can’t book an appointment?).

What sets this place apart - they can thin your hair with a blade instead of buzzer. Only place I have found that can actually do this. And of course, great customer service to top it off.
Loren is one of a kind. I got a haircut from him and no word of a lie I landed 2 dates the same weekend… Gentleman do yourself a favour and go see Loren I can’t endorse him enough!!!

This salon is a hidden gem for anyone with thinning hair. Elena is a true professional and knows how to create volume. I was impressed with the Elena's knowledge and skill in working with fine hair.
