Voula is the best. She is the only person who has coloured my hair for the past 14 years (colour and occasional highlights) and I always love it. She has such a good sense of what will work best for my complexion and look natural. In addition to being very skilled and knowledgeable, she is kind and easy to work with. I highly recommend her.
I have been going to Civello for years and have had some fantastic experiences there with Colourists like Priya and Andrea, and Stylists like Jesse, but the service has gone DOWNHILL. The online booking has not worked properly in a long time and when you call/text to book, the incompetent reception staff do not book things in properly. I showed up for a highlights appointment 10 minutes late and apologized for being late and the receptionist told me she had me down for a blow dry service not highlights and that she could not get me in for highlights today. I showed her the text messages confirming the appointment time and what the service was for and she just asked me if I wanted to rebook for another day. There was no responsibility taken for their mistake or an offer of any sort of compensation for the inconvenience. Just not good business. It is unfortunate because this place used to be great, but it’s just disrespectful to not even apologize for wasting my time and messing up. I understand mistakes happen but you have to make it up to clients somehow when you screw up, or at the very least apologize for the inconvenience.
Tyler at Civello is great! This was the second time having him wash, cut & style my hair, and it was even better than the first time. At the beginning of my appointment he sat with me to really understand the style I wanted, and checked in periodically for me to check the progress. Great conversationalist as well.
I left a less than complimentary review about the haircut i'd had, and in less than 24 hours management had reached out to have me back in to fix the cut. The stylist took his time listening to my concerns and in 15 minutes had changed it so that it looked exactly as I had described. Really happy with it now! Props to Civello and Shaheed for their dedication.

Loved their hospitality and would be going back. The pleasant receptionist offered the discount I have never felt so happy with service provided at any other salon
I went to Civello for the first time in late Dec 2015 at the yonge/eglinton location and had the worst experience. Definitely don't plan on returning to any Civello locations again. My stylist, Kennedy, told me how she "actually did not enjoy cutting hair and never had a passion to enter the hair styling industry" which I found a bit odd to tell a customer as you are cutting their hair. At first glance although I didn't really like the cut she had given me (framed my face oddly), it wasn't awful. In the 5 weeks since my cut, I noticed that my bangs were cut too short in some areas and so my hair would jut out and wouldn't fall properly. I also noticed that when I put my hair in a ponytail, there were very distinct sections of hair almost as if she had literally cut straight across the top half of my hair in an attempt to layer it. You can see a clear line where my "layers" end and then the rest of the hair beneath is 4 inches longer. She clearly didn't blend it at all. Anyway I paid $85 (including tax) for this cut and was very disappointed. I regret going to Civello even if it were free.
