Loren styled my hair and it thinned out. She dug her nails and comb in my scalp. It was painful. She pulled my hair with comb and pulled out hair. She hit my head with hair dryer few times. Hot nozzle was on the hair causing breakage and burned hair.
I came to see Anna for eyelash extensions and the misery that ensued was truly regrettable. I asked for the cat eye look with length only at the ends. I showed her 2 pictures from her own instagram and I stressed that I only want length at the ends. An hour later I get up to see my eyes looking like sunflowers and I was very open with Anna about how much I do not like what I am seeing. She told me this looks really good on me and in a few days the lashes will fall in volume to create the look I want. I made the mistake of trusting her. I came home and I could not handle how Gross of a style difference Anna gave me. I called concepts salon and asked them to fix this and asked to speak to a manager, no manager contacted me and Anna can only come 5 days later. I got my eyelashes done for a week of interviews that I have. To feel more confident and Anna stole my confidence away. After pleading with the receptionist over text, Anna sent a text that shows she knew exactly what I asked for but believed her style would make me look more youthful. This is completely unethical, it is not her place to go against my consent and create a look I didn’t approve of! In the end she refused a refund and offered to do my lashes again, but after the blatant disregard she showed for my appearance I’m of course not comfortable having Anna ever work on face again. I asked to talk to a manager and the receptionist did not follow through. I can never get my time back, I ended up getting the lashes removed 3 days later by another tech and paid for it, I lost not only my money but also my time. I asked concepts for a refund and it seems like concepts takes no accountability for who they bring on to work on their client base, a client base that trusts in their name. I am no longer comfortable coming to concepts salon for how this was handled.
I got a hair cut by Judy and she was fabulous! I was bit skeptical going there since it’s my first time in here however I was so happy with the work she did on my hair . My hair looks so healthy now . Also, she was very pleasant and friendly and I will be back here again !
Discovered them through Groupon and purchased a coupon since I hadn't gotten my hair done in over 2 years and wanted to give myself a little treat. Nadia and the others are absolutely amazing. Nadia did an excellent job listening to what I wanted and executed it to how she deemed necessary and it looks beautiful! She was gentle with my hair and I'm very grateful. Will definitely go back to get some more work done!
After checking out some reviews, I purchased a Groupon for a basic cut. My hair was really long (mid-bum) and hadn’t been cut in quite awhile. I just wanted a basic trim, so I thought it would be no problem. Unfortunately, I could not have been more wrong. I was booked with Elsie, and to be honest, as a person she is great! Unfortunately, the cut was awful and the worst I have ever had. I asked for a trim to get rid of the damaged split ends. She showed me about 6-7” at the end, and I said sure, if that’s how much we need to get rid of, okay. So she cut that part off while my hair was dry. After washing my hair, she started cutting more. I did not see the back of it after it was done and did not realize how much was gone until I tried to put it up in a bun and felt like there was nothing left. It felt clean and healthy, but it felt like there was a lot more missing than I thought. Still, the worst was when other people saw it and their faces said it all. I asked for a trim and she took around 20”, give or take, finding the highest split end and just chopping straight across. It looked like someone had done it with garden shears, blunt and lopsided. I was in tears; completely devastated. I had to call another salon to book an appointment to get it fixed ASAP (thankfully the stylist I went to is great and was able to salvage it to some degree, but I am still unhappy as I did not want to lose so much). When I try to call the salon to request a refund, they put me on hold indefinitely. They only answer my calls if I block my number or call from someone else’s phone. They told me to contact Groupon for the refund; Groupon told me I need to get the refund from the merchant directly. There is another review here that almost completely mirrors my own experience at this salon, dated about a month before me, same stylist and same experience overall. It is truly unfortunate, but this is really not the place to go for a basic cut or otherwise. The money you think you’re saving will soon be multiplied in order to pay for another salon and stylist to fix the awful cut you will undoubtedly end up with. Just save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. The level of unprofessionalism is beyond ridiculous.
I had an appointment, my second haircut appointment, with Elsie. I was really impressed with the way she cut my hair at my first appointment so decided to go back. Although the hair looked okay when styled, as the waves started to come back, I noticed that the layers I got are extremely choppy, not blended at all, and hair length at the bottom is not even. Overall, I am quite disappointed with my experience this time around.
