Ok, I don’t get it why the male technician at this place is always rushing. Not like this place has got people waiting for their service. I’m sorry for posting this, as I want to support businesses, but this just doesn’t sit right with me. You are paying for a service, so you’d expect some sincerity from the person. I went to get a nail art, came back with plain nails and some scratches and skin peels due to rushed service :) Moreover, I wore a black sweatshirt. Who would’ve thought it would be completely covered in white powder that’s flying right into your nostrils. No Hi, Hello, or even “do you like it”. Just sighs at every small request.
I went to Jolie Nails & Spa today for the first (and last) time, and I strongly suggest you run the other way. I was a walk-in and the place was completely empty, which honestly should have been my first warning sign. The man who did my nails was rushing through the entire process, showing zero attention to detail. He didn’t even clean up after filing leaving chunks and dust under the polish. When I tried to speak to him, he didn’t respond or acknowledge me at all. By the time he was done, there were visible lumps of leftover filing under the polish. It looks messy, unprofessional, and nothing like what you’d expect after paying for a full biogel set. This was a nightmare experience, sloppy, careless work and terrible customer service. Save your time, money, and sanity and do not go here.
Whether you’re just visiting or you reside in the GTA, this is THE best mani-pedi experience that you could ever have. I could have easily paid at least double the price for the quality of service provided. Everything was done with professionalism plus, and then there was the smile. I left the spa with very happy feet and hands that demanded a date night out on the town. Oh, what a feeling.
I’ve never had a service that was SO detail oriented! I got a shellac manicure and shellac pedicure and it looks amazing. I could tell as soon as I walked in that it was very sanitary, and the tools were as well. The place is well kept & well organized, looks very nice inside. I’m assuming they were a couple and they truly took their time, I couldn’t recommend this place more!
I usually refrain from writing negative reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience. I called the salon to inquire about the price for a full-body wax. Unfortunately, the response I received was vague and unprofessional. The staff member told me that the price depends on each individual’s body, and if more supplies are needed, I would be charged more. While I understand that prices can vary slightly, a professional salon should be able to provide a clear base rate or a range. Instead, I was left feeling uncomfortable and judged. Transparency and respect should be a priority in customer service—sadly, I didn’t feel either during this interaction
This husband and wife team are so kind, accommodating and both do great nails. Their prices are very reasonable. I've always been exceptionally happy with my nails, whether it's a basic polish, dip powder or shellac mani-pedi.
Never again. I have tried to give chance after chance. The owners are rude ans when I ask a question they speak amongst each other in their language! I called to make an appointment, then to be told I had to come back. I came in with a luggage, I had to leave from there. He rushed me, glue on my skin!! Cut me and then said I was done! It was ugly and no oil,no cream. I even apologized if I was a bother.... again his response was in his language! So I reminded him I speak English. I almost cried.
