I've been going to Dallas for 2 years and I've never had better hair! I have very fine hair and she's been able to make it both low maintenance and stylish.
I loved my first salon experience at Juice! Ashley worked so thoughtfully with my natural hair texture and I am loving the results a few weeks later. It’s healthy, has so much shine and I really like the color she chose to match what I had. Everyone was so kind, I would have 100 coffees there if I could (SO good) and it was all around just a really relaxing and positive first visit. Can’t wait to go back again! Thanks Ashley xo
Owner is a pretentious self-aggrandizing poser who is extremely possessive about the “curated vibe” at his little bar. In his mind, only he, alone, can be the arbiter of fun which is how he justifies lashing out at patrons who don’t conform to his standard. Was reprimanded for playing an innocuous hand game with friends because it didn’t fit the vibe. Also gave him a fair chance to make it right but he doubled down condescendingly. It’s not that deep. Clearly loves masquerading as a pathetic gatekeeper of so called “vibes” when really he’s just a service industry dilettante fostering a hostile, exclusionary environment for his guests. Appalling how we were treated, considering we were one of the only ones there buying drinks (place was empty on Fri night; no surprises there). Edit: His responses clearly demonstrates his immaturity & lack of remorse for his behaviour. Chill bro your bar isn’t Berghain. It’s a mid bar in Toronto.
A lovely spot for cocktails and coffee. Cannot comment on the barber portion but they seem to have a pretty skilled team on that side too. Absolutely adore the shaken iced americanos, and the patio vibes on Thursdays with the live band cannot be beaten. Looking forward to trying more drinks on the menu. PS: It does not at all take away from the experience, but a few low-lift food items with minimal prep would be cool to introduce to the menu!
The coffee, incredible. The cocktails are some of the best I've had in this city. The wine selection is amazing (if you're ever looking for a great exotic bottle to impress friends or family). The staff are INCREDIBLE, friendly and kind, always with a smile on their faces. This is like the Cheers bar for me, everybody knows your name and welcomes you like family. I've also gotten the best haircuts of my life here (Ashley Costa is a GENIUS). I would live here if I could. My favorite spot in the city, oh and did I mention the live music nights? People drinking wine and dancing on the front patio... pure magic.
My go to coffee shop on a Saturday morning. Great vibes, music & people. Hands down best espresso in Toronto. Beautifully sourced beans from Pescara, Italy - with a perfect 70/30 blend. Chocolate tones coupled with a coarser grind makes from some perfect pulls on the Marzocco. If you’re really looking for a treat on a hot Toronto day, ask Dylan for it iced.
I've been going to Ashley for haircuts exclusively for 7+ years. Juice is a beautiful shop and it's clear that Ashley aims to create a space that is welcoming, fun and bright to contribute to the already vibrant neighbourhood. She has most definitely accomplished just that. I always feel at home thanks to Ash and the great staff at Juice and look forward to my haircut every other week.
