The braiding was good. I think the owner is the best braider, I didn’t have her unfortunately, but she checked in frequently to make sure that everything was going well. Some things to note: 1. I’ve been twice and each time had to wait at least 40 mins, even though I had made an appointment at a certain time. Since they take walk ins, your exact appointment time likely won’t be honoured (bc the walk ins kind of mess the schedule up). Also the owner quoted that the braiding would take 4 hours and it took 6 hours. So budget more time than you think you’ll need. 2. Get the price in writing. The owner will tell you once price to entice you to book and when they are done doing your hair she will tell you another price. This happened to me here twice. The bait and switch pricing is an unfortunate strategy, but you can mitigate against it by getting the price in writing.
I went here today from the misleading sign outside with the name of my original braider who is a block west on the street. But was told ‘yes’ even though it was not true. Which is very misleading to take someone’s time and money when they did not book or request you. Will not be back in future
IF YOU VALUE YOUR MONEY NOT TO MENTION YOUR HAIR YES I SAID DO NOT GO! I was sent there and unfortunately went, getting Way Over Priced on top of not even getting my hair Dunn properly. Clearly they're working in conjunction w/ the hair supply place Cloria's, for which I've already posted called them out on selling me FAKE "HUMAN HAIR". RIDICULOUS DON'T GO IF YOU VALUE YOUR MONEY $600 DOWN THE DRAIN $300 THERE $300 AT THE OTHER PLACE; HOPE IT WAS WORTH YOUR REPUTATION. AND IF THAT'S NOT ENOUGH, they actually put up the equivalent of flash you know like them aren't you see in tattoo parlors. It's just examples but they act like it was their work. Only after you pay does the truth come out. #pathetic Even on their card it's a fake photo. I reiterate, pathetic! If I could give you a deficit of stars, I would.
Lady Christiana was super kind to me- came in late to make enquiries about a later date but she saw how stressed I was and convinced me they could fit me in for a same day appointment and that’s exactly what she did. It was an all hands on deck situation and I loved my hair at the end of the day. Even though it’s a bit of a distance from my house, I’ll definitely be back. Thank you!!
Honestly I give it to New Dimension when it comes to African hair do. I have never been disappointed with their hair do. The braid I did last actually came out in New Dimension just like their name. It's a beautiful one all my friends has been commenting about it. Thank you for making me look beautiful again ? ? ?
Honestly Christiana is very good at what she does. I don't like it when the other ladies do my hair, they seem clueless. Service cost a bit more now that she has new employees cause I guess she has to pay them. To owner: Please buy lots of wraps to put persons under dryer. I witnessed it being taken off someone's head and then placed on someone else's head. Very unhygienic!! They will leave your hair to go do someone else's then return to you. Leave you sitting there like a fool. Very money hungry.
BEST SALON EXPERIENCE. My braider was warm natured and thoughful with great technique, both gentle and strong, fast and focused. I felt the love and care she puts into her work. I got a deep wash and twists and Im very happy with the results and overall experience. Also affordable. I'll be back again. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! THANK YOU!! DONT FORGET TO TIP!!
