Daughter had her first hair cut/trim and braiding session with Kezia. Kezia was patient and great with my daughter. Everyone at salon was friendly and welcoming. We love her new braids
I recently got a big chop done by Hiyab, and she was amazing!! She was very gentle with my hair, and very knowledgeable about products to use to maintain its health. The salon is very nice and cozy. The staff members do such an amazing job at creating a warm and welcoming space. Another review stated that you should run and not walk to The Curl Lounge, and I agree! Their service and skills is a 10/10. They will definitely be seeing me again!
Yikes! The owner takes almost zero responsibility for the mistakes of their business and tries to redirect blame to the client everytime. Thats quite clear from their responses to bad reviews. They even had the audacity to say that someone shouldn't have left a bad review because they got some free shampoo as an apology... terrible customer service and zero accountability. Steer clear!
Really great experience! Learned how to take care of my daughter’s curls (I’m straight haired). Hiyab was really patient in teaching my daughter to take care of her hair. Thank you Curl lounge, we will be back!
I didn’t get to actually go to this salon, but I had a pretty disappointing experience. I needed to reschedule my appointment (well within the 72-hour window), but the online system wouldn’t let me. Their form said to call, so I did—dozens of times. I also emailed and heard nothing back. No one responded, and they still kept my deposit. Their customer service was basically nonexistent. Awful experience. They also have some pretty over-the-top prep requirements—your hair must be washed within 3 days and have barely any tangles. I get that they want to save time, but if I have to wash, detangle, and prep my hair to that extent, what exactly am I paying for? A stylist should expect to do some of the work—that’s the whole point of booking a service. Wouldn’t recommend.
Really unhappy with my service here. Left with my hair the frizziest its ever been. I was also never told that I would be charged per hour and was given a price over email. However in person, I was charged $275 for a session that was supposed to be charged around $140 at the most. Really unprofessional and I am very disappointed.
I’ve previously had pretty negative experiences with hair salons/curly hair salons but the Curl Lounge changed that for me. I cannot explain how happy I am with my hair. Elisha is the most talented hairdresser I’ve ever encountered and I think she might be the only one I’ll trust to do my hair!! I was very nervous before and during my cut but when I saw the final product, I almost didn’t believe that it was MY HAIR. The ambiance and energy in this salon really makes you feel confident and boujee, just like how their intention describes. You can tell their stylists put a lot of love and time into their work, I will 100% be back and be telling alllll my curly girls about this place!! Thank you so much Elisha, you are amazing and lovely, deserving of everything beautiful in life!!!!
