The Loft always has great customer service and overall experience. I see stylist, Emily Lorimer, and she is personable, knowledgeable and such a pleasure! 5 stars!
The woman who cut my hair was very nice and I enjoyed her energy and our conversation. However, I’ve never had my bangs cut so willy-nilly. My hair was already dried and she just went in and snipped a bunch of different bits all over the place. They’re curtain bangs so I think she tried to do a gradual slant but instead they’re very choppy. From my perspective, there was absolutely no precision when they were cut and I was told (notably not in a malicious way but nonetheless) to just schedule and come back for a bang cut (which costs more money). I expected bangs to be included in a haircut which might be a misunderstanding on my part? As a result, my bangs are wildly uneven now, with one side much longer than the other, which is extremely disappointing as it was my first professional haircut in years. I honestly wish I just got my mom to cut them as I always have in the past. UPDATE: Management reached out to me and acknowledged the issue with my bangs and offered to have their master stylist re-do them! Thanks to her they turned out really well and I love them! I appreciated them reaching out and being so accommodating.
Gorgeous decor and a chill atmosphere at this salon! The staff is nice and friendly. They also offer a cup of tea with your appointment if you ask. A bit on the expensive end, but as are most places pre-"Corvid". I love that it has 3 levels to it, so it doesn't feel crammed or tight when there's lots of customers getting their hair done. I also LOVE the amount of natural light this place has compared to other salons so it makes for an overall more pleasant experience. I got a Bleach-out and Toner done as well as a cut/style with shoulder length hair. It's good to note that some stylists charge differently depending on the service, mine was a bit more expensive since Bleach-outs are difficult and time consuming. The bleaching/toner was roughly $165 per hour and took around 3.5 hours. The cut was $125. Plus a $3.50 sanitization fee. Total service took 4 hours.
The staff are super friendly and very helpful! They really listened to what I wanted and fixed previous highlights to make my hair sun kissed and golden!
Popped into this salon for my hair cut. Started off with a nice hair wash, then the stylist nailed my previous look. She's got some serious skills and an eye for detail. Definitely coming back!
It’s a great space, love their products & everyone is friendly. Archie is my stylist and she is amazing, great personality & easy to work with. I have quite dark hair and she lightened & dyed it in a fraction of the time I’ve experienced with other colourists!
Monica was absolutely amazing! I had been growing my hair for awhile and was ready for a complete change. The haircut was excellent and she was very careful about my new helix piercing. Great customer service. Would recommend. 10/10.
