Price very high. Only for seniors. In store i met only seniors with birds food. But I look for toys for granddaughter, it's fantastic toys, but expensive. But it's store like museum, and adults will be like kids!!!
I would like to thank the manager of the store, Paul, who stepped in and addressed the situation. I am pleased with the resolution! Thank you, Paul 'Very sad that the staff would not address their own mistakes and not even trying to step forward and assist the customer. I was advised to buy safflower kernels, was told cardinals and other birds love them, but it did not work for me, the seeds sit in the birdfeeder untouched for a week. When I brought seeds back to the store, I was told no exchange/ return, even though I would not buy it at the first place, unless I was told by the staff. I left the bag on the counter and left, asked them to close my profile. Not coming back ever, there are other stores in the area'
on occasion my husband and i shop at this location - its a good thing they have other locations - their don mills branch is fantastic everyone is very helpful, pleasant and courteous however, the young lady (posetk) that works at the east mall location is far from any of those attributes - shes rude, off handed, doesn't acknowledge you when you come into the store or ask if you need any help and shes been been rude and combative with me before (i was told she had been fired but clearly shes still working there) i'm actually surprised that a business selling bird food and products - a nature/hobby store would even consider hiring unfriendly ill-mannered people - our last visit she processed our sale - no smile, no communication and then she ran off after cashing us out, not one word except "whats your phone number" - its unfortunate that customers have to put up with this behaviour there are lots of good friendly well mannered people out there looking for jobs!
If I could give negative for stars for the Etobicoke store I would but I am limited to give one star as lowest rating. I have always tried to shop local to support local business but I find I cannot with this store. My family shops here and the first time in we were met with a very rude, condescending arrogant “cashier” who stated he was the manager. We gave him a break because everyone has bad days. However the following 5 visits have all been a bad experience for any of my family members who have made purchases because of the treatment we received from him. The last visit involved trying to exchange something that a nice young lady said we had 45 days to return. The “manager” verbally attacked us and refused to exchange. I understand exchange policy and if we had gone outside the parameters of their rules it only need to be explained to us. We do not need to be verbally abused. The first time I was in the store I was told I could leave if I didn’t like the way I was being spoken to. I should have listened to him then instead of giving them any kind of business at all. I can only assume this “manager” is a relative of the owner because if I ever had an employee as this individual he would have been fired long ago. Under no circumstances will I set foot in this store again. Trust me I am not exaggerating. I have found a competitor in the area who will now be getting all of my business.
The bird house we ordered is so cute . It's smaller than we thought,but always harder to picture when you can't actually see it! Details are awesome, it was packaged well and delivery was quick. Wishing there was an Urban Nature store in Waterloo region....
