Unfortunately my experience at this store was extremely disappointing. I came in genuinely wanting to support a local small business, even though the prices were noticeably higher than online, because I prefer to shop in person and ask questions about sizing and fit. However, the staff seemed uninterested in helping and honestly made me feel like I was inconveniencing them by simply asking basic questions. Instead of guiding me as a potential customer, the conversation turned into them imposing their own opinions while barely offering any real assistance. At times I also felt a negative attitude toward Americans, which was uncomfortable and honestly not what Canadians are known for. It’s unfortunate because I truly expected a welcoming environment. I left feeling unwelcome, and that’s a shame considering I walked in ready to make a purchase. After this experience, I now understand why so many reviews mention similar issues. I really wanted this to go differently. I ended up going to Herbert’s Boots instead, received excellent service, and actually bought from them. They were far more welcoming and helpful, so I would highly recommend checking them out based on my experience.
Beautiful store and even more amazing owners. Took my husband to get a Stetson for his 40th birthday, and they did not disappoint. Great collection and customer service!
Nick’s been runnin’ it since '88 — a man who’s seen more heads under more brims than most folks see sunsets. When he said any cowboy hat would suit me, it stuck. Helen, his wife, wasn’t shy with her kindness either. Good people. The kind you don’t forget.

The best Bootstore in Toronto ! An excellent choice of models, from the classic to the most original. The staff are really friendly, attentive and give good advice. We went there once with my girlfriend, curiously first but we came back to buy a pair each. The woman is very pleasant and gives a sincere opinion on how the pair fit. We didn't see much the man, but we had a nice discussion and he even complimented me on the way i was dressed ! Don't listen to reviews that say they're unpleasant and come make up your own mind. I would100% recommend this store to anyone.
My mom and I visited Bootmaster this past weekend to purchase a Stetson for my Dad, and we were completely blown away by our experience. First of all, the selection is second to none. The moment you step in through the door, you are greeted with a vast amount of quality, and stunning product selection. They have everything you need, reasonably priced and the quality is second to none. I felt like a kid in a candy shop and couldn’t stop smiling. Secondly, the owners Sir and Helen are such a delight. They were the highlight of our visit. Not only were they knowledgeable, the customer service they provided was such a treat. They are such a sweet couple and shopping with Sir was like seeing an old friend! He was able to secure the hat for my dad and also recommended a longhorn belt to match (which he was right, my dad absolutely LOVED). We ended walking out with 2 hats and a belt, and haven’t been happier with a purchase in a long time. They are so welcoming, warm and knowledgeable that I can’t wait to come back time and time again, and bring more friends and family with us! We have already decided everyone will be getting a hat, a pair of boots and a belt for Christmas and birthdays, for which we will happily shop here for. Thank you so much Sir and Helen for not only the exceptional service you provide, but the amazing store of curated western wear. This store and the owners are truly gems in Toronto!!
I only have good positive comments about this store. It will be my third pairs of boots I will buy from them and always a good service. If you are in Toronto go check it out, if not you can order online it is easy and safe.
