What an amazing company! I'm beyond satisfied with this team. We found a carpet we loved with a competitor, but something was just not feeling right. I called Peter and Danielle here at Allan Rug. Peter was so helpful, and help explain everything to me over the phone, over 2 or 3 calls. (I kept having more questions) Peter was great!!! Their pricing was about 10% more than their competitor, but the trust I felt was worth every penny. I ordered over the phone. Site unseen. The installers came, they were professional, and they were perfectionists. Exceeding my expectations. There was a tiny manufacturing defect with the rug. It was in a noticeable area. Peter immediately addressed it and we were extremely happy with the results. I highly recommend this team.
Terrible experience! Avoid at all cost! This has been the worst contracting experience we have ever had. We have plenty of experience with contractors, including major projects that required us to move out for 2 months. This isn't our first rodeo. This was an exceptionally bad experience. The worst. 1. Installer disappeared for 2 months, delaying the process until another installer could be found. 2. No one could tell us what to expect from the installation, despite two site visits from an installer. 3. No one could tell us how long the installation would take 4. Took months to acquire material necessary for installation 5. During a site visit, we were told we had to move large appliances from the kitchen, only to be told we didn't need to do that. We didn't have access to our kitchen for 12 days, unnecessarily. 6. Covered our condo in epoxy dust and took no steps to contain it. 7. Installer didn't wear a mask when sanding epoxy, a violation of the Occupational Health and Safety Act. 8. Unresponsive by email 9. Difficulty scheduling 10. Passive aggressive staff 11. Lots of gaslighting 12. Overpriced Truly an awful experience, especially the customer service.
Amazing experience with Allen Rug very organized and efficient. Customer service was excellent and very professional. Could not recommend more especially Beverly who was so easy to work with and lovely! Thank you to Allen rug for such a wonderful experience!
Uninsured contractor caused over $10,000 in damages and then asked me to lie (in an attempt to commit insurance fraud) about the date because he got insurance after the incident. The owner of Allen Rug is also extremely rude and tried to blame me for said incident. Do not use this company - use anyone else. Thankfully I had home insurance and my insurance company covered all damages.
The installation guarantee is meaningless, they literally told me it would only apply if the material itself was 'falling apart' which I think would be hard for flooring to do within a year. I was pressured to pay a lot extra for a glue down floor rather than a floating one, but the glue hasn't kept it attached so I now have a floating floor that is especially obvious in summer with the humidity, despite paying over $1000 more to have it glued down. I found Peter the sales person flippant when I tried to complain (when he phoned and I asked who it was he said 'Donald Trump'). and the owner was immediately rude and belligerent when he came to look at the issue, e.g. he was five minutes early as I was just arriving home and he acted very inconvenienced that I was... on time? Kicking myself after seeing all other the negative reviews on here about their installations -don't do it!!!

Jason was extremely patient and accommodating with the selection process and he thoroughly went through the different types of rugs that would best suit our needs. Jason was a pleasure to work with and we would highly recommend him to anyone we know. We are thrilled about our purchase - the rug is high quality with excellent aesthetic. I must say that my entire experience with Allan Rug could not have been improved upon, from the excellent service by Robert to scheduling by Peter to the fabulous installation by Nick and his crew, the site conditions were less than ideal and they took it all in stride like pro's, would not hesitate to refer them to anyone in need of flooring
