Walked over by the time I got to the store my toddler was sick of stroller life. So they kindly gated off the consignment clothing area and offered up some toys. Kid was happy, I was thrilled. I will definitely be back.
This store is part of what makes a community thrive! Jill & her staff are warm, welcoming and do so much to support the families in the neighbourhood and beyond. Their toys & products are thoughtfully chosen, they offer great workshops & special events, and they even organize an amazing clothing swap multiple times per year. They have a great selection of second-hand clothing/ gear that's available year-round as well. Stop by and check this store out, you'll be happy you did.
Was in town from the US and looking for a couple of gifts to bring back from Toronto for my son. Superb service and such cool stuff! Owner was super friendly and will certainly make an effort to stop in anytime in the future that I'm back in the city!
I feel so lucky to have Jill & the Beanstalk as part of my community! It’s amazing to have a local, independent space to purchase well-curated children’s products picked by kind, caring owners...PLUS, they have free song circles throughout the week! These were a lifeline for me in my babe’s early days. I’ve also attended several excellent workshops there, from potty training to sleep training. Both Jills are amazing humans and I love supporting this local business!
As a recent member of the new mum club I am delighted to have found this gem in my neighborhood. I've attended workshops, found some lovely clothes/gifts, and my daughter and I are now regular attendees at the free song circle which runs at different times throughout the week so can always find something to fit around naps. Hats off to the Jills for creating a lovely little community in a big city!
Didn't have a great experience - bought a $20 shampoo/body wash that didn't work for my baby, and the owners wouldn't give me any credit towards purchasing a new item, understanding that they would lose me as a customer because of this. I won't return to this store.
I have been going to Jill and the Beanstalk for a year now. The place is great for times when it is too cold or too warm. The workshops have been informative. The food choices are great especially as Edward becomes older and expands on his taste. I attend the Boot Camp with an awesome personal trainer--Edward loves Matthew. Always something new to try. If it is easy to order and you need it--they always do their best to get it in - like Rubber Ducky!!
