I've been working with Megan D'Souza to correct lower body imbalances that have affected my running and cycling performance, and I've seen really drastic improvements, decreased pain, and gained a lot of insights into my own structural tendencies and areas to work on. I recently PRed in the half-marathon and I credit that in large part to my improved stride that resulted from my work with Megan.
I worked with Dr. Abyan to recover from medial tibial stress syndrome (shin splints) and get back to running and playing sports. He took a comprehensive approach - addressing everything from muscle strength and movement patterns to footwear - and I’ve seen a huge improvement. Highly recommend!
I had foot pain that I couldn't solve despite going to a few physiotherapists. Dr. Abyan showed me that it came from the way I walk and my hips, rather than my foot itself. We worked together for 7 weeks and now I'm walking pain free. His knowledge of biomechanics is what makes him stand out, and his hands-on skills are excellent.
Update: Alice, the office manager, reached out to apologize for the experience I received and she offered me a complimentary service to give them another chance. My second experience was impeccable. I met Alice in person and she was extremely kind. My masseuse, Stefania, was so incredibly relatable, knowledgeable and attentive. I appreciate that they acknowledged my feedback and was able to give me a better experience the second time around. I never write reviews but I thought I needed to share how my experience was at this facility. I booked a 60min massage appointment with Julia. I had arrived on time and saw that the room wasn’t ready as she was changing the sheets / pillow covers. At this point, she still hasn’t acknowledged me but tells the front desk staff she needs to use the washroom. No big deal. By the time she comes back and we start the session it’s now 15min past our start time. She mentions that I’m booked in the physio room as their massage room is already taken. The table that I lie down on is covered with a bedsheet and is extremely stiff and where there’s supposed to be a face hole, the edges are very rigid so it’s very uncomfortable to rest your face there. We start the session and the room is extremely loud as I could clearly hear the conversations that were happening outside from the other appointments. Julia stopped the massage a few minutes before the 60min are up even though we started 15min late. I mentioned to her that I didn’t get my full time and her response was “I’m booked back to back so my next session has to start now and we were delayed because we needed to spend the first period of time going through your intake forms” which was absolutely untrue. We spent 2 minutes going through my intake forms and the remainder delay was because of her. I absolutely did not appreciate being charged for a 60min appointment when I only got 45min of service. I also would’ve cancelled my appointment had I known I was booked in a “physio” room. This was not the experience I signed up for and would caution others from visiting this place.
I saw Dr. Anna for a pole dancing related injury that had been bothering me for over 8 months. I felt like I had plateaued in my recovery, but she was very determined to work with me so I could get back to full use of my shoulder. She was very attentive and thorough and was able to work within my tight timeline. I've noticed a significant improvement and hope to be at 100% soon. Highly recommend for other aerial acrobatic enthusiasts!
