Since Rose left, everything has been going wrong. I feel like I have to beg for food and gifts. It feels as if michalle is giving me food and toys from her own personal money. And now with the Christmas gift registration, they acted as if they have to check my income and said it is too high, even though I have two friends with the same income who were accepted for Christmas gifts. None of this ever happened when Rose was here. I don’t feel upset about the food or the gifts — I feel upset about the way I’m being treated, because this is my right.

I’ve been attending this church since around 2005/2006. I grew up in this community. It was the place I brought my child to grow up in, the place where I tried to give her the same sense of belonging and faith that carried me through my own early years. For a long time, this church felt like home. I want to be very clear: I have no issues with the Majors or any of the programs, many of them were beautiful and beneficial to both myself and my daughter. But what changed everything were the actions of two individuals who made it very clear, through their words, their behavior, and their complete lack of empathy, that I was no longer welcome. That we were no longer welcome. When this happened, I did what I thought was right. I reported it to church leadership. I also shared my experience publicly on social media, not to create division, but to speak my truth. More recently, I filed a report anonymous, not out of revenge, but out of necessity, because the emotional damage was that real, that lasting. What hurts the most is not just what was done, but what wasn’t. Neither I nor my child ever received a sincere apology, not in writing, not in person. Not a phone call. Not a word. Just silence, as if our pain didn’t matter. As if we were disposable. That kind of dismissal cuts deep, especially from a place that preaches love, grace, and community. This review isn’t about stirring trouble. It’s about being honest. Because silence protects the wrong people. And no one, especially not a child, should have to experience the kind of emotional harm we went through in a place that’s supposed to offer safety and healing. I still believe in church. I still believe in faith. But I unfortunately don’t believe this is a place for me, or for anyone who doesn’t fit the mold of what a few individuals decide is acceptable. That’s not how church should work. That’s not how God works.

My experience today at Salvation Army food bank was marvelous,in fact,no word good enough to express my gratitude and appreciation. Only those led by God can do like The Salvation Army food bank. I am very happy for all they gave to me. God bless Salvation Army Church

If I could give zero stars, I would. This has been my third time going to this food bank/church, and each time I've gone, I've been discriminated against on multiple things because I'm what they would deem as 'lower class' or 'poor'. You list yourselves as an emergency food bank but the last two times I've gone I've had to BEG for food for me and my cats. Either 'no one is working' or 'the food bank isn't open today.' which again doesn't make sense if you're an EMERGENCY food bank. Also, if someone is telling me no one is working today, why can't they help me? Aren't they supposed to be there to help? Isn't that what Jesus preaches? Plus, I've seen in the freezers and fridges in your back room, they're FILLED with food and yet you tell people that come by needing help, that you have nothing. Some items are even listed "DO NOT TOUCH." almost as if you're reserving specific items for specific people or either yourselves. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the donations that this church receives goes right into the pockets and tummies of the people working there, not the people in the community who need it. On two different occasions I've been told to get rid of my cats so I can feed myself. On every occasion I've been there I've been made to feel like I'm not supposed to be there and that I shouldn't even be asking for food and have been rushed out the door. I'm appalled that you call yourselves a church and promote the word of God but couldn't take two seconds out of your day until I BEGGED you and started to tear up in front of your patrons, to help me. The only reason you decided to help was because people started looking, and you're a church, so of course you have an image to maintain once people start turning heads. As the niece of a very high Arch Bishop, who has been raised and baptized within the Church, I'm shocked this is how you treat God's Children.

I went today to provide the documents required to get food assistance but the dark skin tall lady was not nice she just wanted me to leave. It seemed that she is donating from her pocket.

I was at the toy drives I hv a 15 months old so today I was a bit disappointed I saw a basketball net I really wanted for my baby but I can’t afford to buy it Thts what I wanted to give my son for his xmas it was in the office direction I went an fet my toys but there were nothing I really like or wanted any I did get few thing so I ask if I can give back all Tht I pick up an in return I get the basket ball net I was so desire for my back but rose said no a mean they toys are for donations why would u refused me the toy unless they keeping it for they then self i was willing to give up all tht I got for this one basketball net cause it means a lot to me I wanted to start my son off as a baller

Local Salvation Army temple I have been going for years. They ate a great community church. They also run a food bank, toy drives and all sorts of fundraisers and community meals. If you are in need this is the place to go.
