We were so excited to try the buñuelos. The first round we order were burned and so small for what we payed but we wanted to give a second chance and we took some for take away and we got more of the same. It’s sad because the service was very kind and the patacon with eggs was good.
Good quality coffee. Lovely staff as well. Tried the tres leches latte, vanilla latte and regular latte with my friends. They all tasted great! Beautiful latte art. The decaf option is also delicious.
We went to Piragua Colombian Specialty for dinner and had an amazing experience. The empanadas were the highlight of the night, we tried all the different kinds, and each one was packed with flavor. My favorite was definitely the beef empanada, perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. The food overall was great, full of authentic Colombian taste. Highly recommend this spot if you’re craving genuine Colombian flavors and a warm, welcoming atmosphere!
Food was super tasty! Pretty nice place!. We tried the Ajiaco and the flavor was just like in Bogotá. The place is colorful, full of tradition ,cozy and the staff was really friendly. We also had the chicken and corn arepa, which was great. Only suggestion: the arepa with chorizo shows up as a “hot dog” on the menu, which can be a bit confusing when ordering. We’d totally come back!
We visited La Piragua to try their empanadas. The place is charming and beautifully decorated, offering a selection of typical Colombian products, including candies and beverages. We ordered the chorizo and chicken empanadas, they were good, but there’s room for improvement. The chicken empanada, in particular, had a texture more like a paste or filling rather than distinct pieces of chicken, which took away from the experience. That said, the service was excellent, and the staff was genuinely kind and welcoming, which made our visit enjoyable overall. There are other food options on the menu that caught our eye, and we’re definitely planning to come back and try more on another visit.
It is a very nice, cozy and loving place. The food was really nice and had a home flavor. Es un lugar, bonito, acogedor y especial. La comida estaba muy buena y con sabor a casa. C'est très bonne. C'est un place très beau, dulce et à un goût de maison.
I went with high expectations, but honestly, I would not return nor recommend this place. Their prices are way too high for the quality they offer. I ordered a $60 platter supposedly meant for four people, but we were two, and it wasn’t even enough for two—it was just a small sample of each item. The yucca and arepa were terrible, and the ají was awful; it wasn't ají, it was just oil. The rest was quite good, but the price does not match the portion size at all.
