I have been using Naseem since April 2022 for my fence & deck works. I again had them at my home in Oakville today to repair one post and they were really honest to advise that this can stay for time being and added a support.Really helpful, courteous and professional work. Highly recomended
I do not recommend hiring Nasim from deckedout.inc for any home renovation work. My experience with him and his subcontractors was extremely disappointing, marked by poor workmanship, lack of communication, and unprofessional behavior. The project was to replace a 19-foot fence with a 4-foot gate. I provided detailed specifications in writing, including photos: 6-foot tall pressure-treated wood, shadow box design with 1.5” spacing between boards, etc. Nasim acknowledged the requirements during the estimate visit. However, on the day the work was scheduled, Nasim failed to attend and did not inform me he would not be present. He also did not notify me that the job would be subcontracted. The workers who arrived were unprepared and uninformed. One admitted he had not been told what kind of fence to build and was unfamiliar with the term “shadow box.” I had to explain the design to him myself. They initially installed the rails incorrectly and had to redo the work. Later, they began installing boards with gaps of approximately 4", despite the clearly specified 1.5" spacing. They had to remove and reinstall the boards after I pointed this out, but rather than using a proper spacer, they estimated the gap by eye, and finished the job in the dark at approximately 9:30 PM. The following day, I inspected the fence in daylight and found additional issues. Only two rails had been used, not three. The spacing between the boards at the end section was inconsistent and significantly wider than 1.5". Several boards were missing nails, and the structure was unstable. Only four of six bags of cement had been used for three fence posts, and the post holes were not dug deep enough. Nasim claimed that 3 feet was sufficient, but in Toronto, the frost line is closer to 4 feet (as confirmed by the person at Home Depot who recommended Nasim). When asked how far below ground level the cement was, he said 12", which is inadequate for a 6’ tall fence. Only 2 feet of each 10-foot post was encased in concrete, with the remaining 1 foot underground exposed to moisture, increasing the risk of premature rot. The finished fence is already wobbly. The cleanup was also unsatisfactory. I found 23 nails scattered in the grass. The workers had dumped clay from the post holes between a cedar tree and another fence without asking, and I had to request they clean it up—only half was removed. I disposed of the rest myself. Cement mix was spilled on my interlocking driveway. When I raised the issue, Nasim’s partner dismissed it, claiming it would "wash away." It did not, and the stain is now permanent. Additionally, cigarette butts were left on the property, and a neighbor's lawn was damaged by one of the workers driving over it. I also found it inappropriate that one of the workers asked me repeatedly whether he would be receiving a tip. When I brought this up with Nasim, he dismissed it as a joke. Throughout the process, communication from Nasim was extremely poor. He did not respond to calls or texts during the job. The only time I was able to reach him was through his on-site partner. When I eventually raised my concerns in person, Nasim became confrontational, argumentative, and highly unprofessional. During that meeting, he verbally threatened a resident, calling him a “dog” and saying twice , “If your dog comes out here again, I will slap him.” His outburst was loud enough that neighbors came outside to investigate. His partner, visibly concerned, tried to de-escalate the situation. Despite eventually agreeing to correct the issues and return the following day, Nasim failed to appear. He later postponed again and ultimately did not follow through on any of the promised repairs—including addressing the cement damage on my driveway. Two months have passed without action or resolution. In summary, my experience with deckedout.inc was extremely negative. The work quality was substandard, the cleanup negligent, and the conduct of the owner unprofessional and, at times, threatening. I strongly advise others to avoid hiring this company.
