The soup dumplings were flavorful and juicy. The other dumplings were also amazing. I have an allergy and was well taken care of. Price was also great for the amount of food we ordered. Highly recommend!

Fabulous fried dumplings. Best in Toronto. Layers of taste. Ditto the spicy beef noodle soup. A unique view. Resto clean and modern. Big booths. Only downside: At times, the very noisy blender used for drinks feels a bit much.

I tried a few of their soups — the beef, the chicken with hand-cut noodles, and the one with the fried egg. The food was okay, nothing special. The broths were mild and the flavours were decent, but nothing stood out. Portions were good, but overall it wasn’t memorable. It was fine for a quick meal, but I probably wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

I just had to share my experience at Bao House on Dundas—this place is an absolute hidden gem, especially if you're a dumpling lover! The quality of the food here is top-notch; these are genuinely some of the best dumplings I’ve had in the city. The wrappers were perfectly thin, the filling was juicy and flavorful, and they clearly know how to make a fantastic soup dumpling. What blew me away, though, was the incredible price point. I paid just $13 CAD for two steamer baskets, totaling 12 perfectly crafted dumplings! That is a ridiculously good price for this level of quality in downtown Toronto. If you're looking for fantastic, authentic food that gives you unbeatable value, stop whatever you're doing and go to Bao House (Dundas). Highly, highly recommended!

My favorite place to eat on Dundas! Delicious and affordable Chinese food. I recommend trying their soup dumplings and beef noodle soup. It’s Canadian debit or cash only so be prepared for that. There’s some banks on the intersection of University and Dundas if you need to use their ATMs. My family/friends who visit from the U.S. have been able to get Canadian cash from those ATMs.

The food here is sooo good, I always get the beef noodles and every time I’m here they always make sure we’re all well taken care of. Refilling water and checking in. It was raining once and as I was leaving they asked if I wanted a raincoat, which was so nice

The environment is bad though. The fly was surrounding us all the time, then we moved to another table. There is no fly anymore, but bugs are there. There is one green bug’s corpse in the chill sauce. I just put my food in the sauce? After I told the server (also we waited for servers for like 5 min, none of them came), she just said sorry to me and took a picture then left. I ordered a steamed dumplings, tastes like the frozen food sell in Loblaws… A bad experience there, we have more choice in the street, not gonna come again
