Emmanuel is a very caring and supportive driving instructor. I am really scared of driving, but he was patient with me. He was able to work with me to effectively learn how to do defensive driving. When I failed the first time, he encouraged me to go again because he believes that I can pass and I did! Thanks Emmanuel for being a sincere instructor!
One of my friends bought a driving package from him. He rescheduled multiple times, and one time lied about getting into a car crash. He sent "proof", but the photo was tagged to be taken 2 years ago in the middle of summer. He sent this photo, a week after we had one of the worst snow storms in ontario. The photo had no snow in it, at all but showed someone in a t shirt fixing a car. When my friend reached out and asked for his money back, Emmanuel pretended not to see his message and asked to reschedule. When my friend asked him to read his request for a refund, he responded said "he was now resting because he's stressed, and that he must take it easy now". This was an hour or two he tried to force my friend into a lesson, which makes no sense. His intentions are malicious, he's clearly trying to steal money from clients so please avoid!! Save your money and go to an instructor who doesn't ghost you, and doesn't take $500 upfront and refuse to show up for lessons. If you're currently having any issues with him, please contact the MOT.
PLEASE PAY ATTENTION!!!! BE AWARE! Emmanuel is VERY unreliable! He cancelled 19 appts (not a typo), for 10 lessons for my son! And it was hard to get responses from him to have him schedule new appts! Took 4 MONTHS to complete in-car driving lessons alone! A sheer exercise in frustration. Many repeat excuses like sick dog, sick adult "child", high blood pressure so cannot drive, pulled over by police for teaching in a school zone and had instructor license suspended (he should know this is not allowed), at police station to pay ticket, last minute cancellation because need to be there for other student driving tests (what? does not know this ahead of time? You have to schedule these weeks in advance with test centre!), or often simply not giving ANY reasons, and just NOT showing up. Even disappeared for 3 weeks with no communication, even after there was evidence he was around days earlier (he picked up a letter we dropped off at his office). When it came to helping plan for exam and/or using his car, he provided NO guidance. Even when finally had lessons, they were often shorter than the full hour, 5-10 mins. As for content, prior to lessons, said he would teach defensive driving throughout in-car lessons but then during lessons would say that this would not happen until later IF driving progressed enough. When he confirmed that progress was very good after 7 lessons, had to remind him about that. AND had to ask to go on the highway, otherwise, he would have skipped this. Worse yet is that he still gave a lesson with his suspended licence (only learned about this after the fact, when learned he was at police station paying to reactivate it)! Would you want this instructor who is willing to do that? We also had to contact MOT to get him to respond to provide the proof of completing the driver's education course. After reading MANY of the 5-star reviews on here, it is strange that MANY of them use the same key words and phrases: professional, patient, on time or punctual, great communication, helped pass first time, best or outstanding instructor, builds confidence. Very different from our experience. Very suspicious! Make an informed decision!
I had a fantastic experience with Emmanuel Driving Academy. From the moment I met Emmanuel, his warm smile put me at ease. He was incredibly thorough and informative throughout the lessons, ensuring I was well-prepared for the test. Thanks to his guidance, I passed my G test with confidence. Highly recommend!
Emmanuel is the best! He is very experienced at what he does. and more importantly, his ability to teach is remarkable. He ensures his students are not only prepared but are also confident in themselves going into the test. Passed my g2 on the first go thanks to this man! Highly recommend!!
Pathetic! Called their number several times and dropped voice mails over several days. No reply. Dropped a mail. No reply. Finally went to their office location. Was told to CALL or MAIL to get appointment and the guy didnt even ask me to come into the office. Then i was told that they are not taking any new students and their roster is full. GROW UP. DONT BLAME COVID FOR YOUR PATHETIC LACKADAISICAL ATTITUDE TOWARDS YOUR OWN CUSTOMERS. Wish there was a -1 star.
My cousin bought a package from him. They finished their in-class lessons with him, but were willing to buy more lessons from him to practise, and he went M.I.A. on her. It's absolutely horrible. During those ten car lessons, he did not teach my cousin certain aspects of driving.
