I was very disappointed with this restaurant’s unprofessional service. Their posted hours say they’re open until 7:00 PM, yet their kitchen closes at 6:30 PM. When we called ahead, the staff even suggested we arrive before 6 PM if we wanted to order food - are you for real? My family had been looking forward to dining here, but this misleading and inconsistent service left a poor impression. We chose to take our business elsewhere.
I came here with my wife who is from Ecuador. The service was great! Very attentive and friendly. We ordered the cheese empanadas and the encebollado. The portion size was great and they give you a whole bag of chifles to accompany it. I couldn't finish everything in one sitting, so plenty enough to take home. The coffee was also superb! Super cozy atmosphere. Will definitely come back again.
This place feels like a warm hug; the food and service here will make you feel like you’re at home. Loved everything about this spot, portions were great, food was delicious, and you can feel the love put into this restaurant. Highly recommend
I must say this has to be one if not the best Ecuadorian food I have had in all GTA. I am Ecuadorian so a good place is hard to come by in the city. It tasted close to home. The Bolon was the highlight for me, with cheese, chicharon and lots of flavour. It came with eggs and a mayo based green sauce and some in house hot sauce (a tiny spicy). Perfect for breakfast! Maduro con chicharon and cheese yummy! Also a great breakfast or appetizer. We had some soursoup juice and maracuya, super fresh and also big servings. The empanadas de verde were also big in size, I felt one was more than enough, also delicious. Now the main course, hornado. The pork was juicy, tender, which melted in your mouth. From the tortilla de papa to the corn, it is just the way we eat it in Ecuador. All our servings were actually quite big. Two people could eat! We took some dishes for take out but equally delicious like the Moro Portovelo that came with lentil rice with cheese, with chicken, an egg, maduros and avocado. So rich in flavour, and outstanding. I had some pan de yuca, which is tapioca cheese bread. They were larger than usual, a little more on the dense side, which I am not used to it. To finish I had to have the alfajor, it tastes homemade, perfect ratio of dulce de leche and cookie. We almost purchased the whole menu, that’s how good everything was. Plus I big “thank you “ to our server. She was fantastic! I interacted with two of the ladies here and they super friendly. We had incredible service, our food was served quick are they are so attentive to anything you need. I look forward to be back and try more dishes. They absolutely get a 10/10 in service and food. I absolutely recommend it!
I'd been wanting to come to the restaurant for a long time, and the other day I came and it didn't disappoint. Delicious Ecuadorian food from Manaba. Everything was delicious, and the desserts had that characteristic flavor of my country. Thank you for bringing a little bit of Ecuador to Toronto. I'll be back to try the other dishes. Congratulations, and keep it up.
