very lovely little place!! the staff were all very kind and helpful but unlike other board game cafes i’ve been to, they didn’t try to give me unsolicited advice or game recommendations. they just gave help when asked and were very informative about the place! the food was also delicious - i got a cubano sandwich and split it with my partner and we both really liked it! beer selection is a little slim but what they do have is all local, which is lovely. their coffee is also VERY good. definitely will be coming back!!
Love it here! Been coming as often as I can for years! Staff's great, food is delicious, fantastic collection of games, and a good sized table to play them on. Thank you for making a such a comfortable and welcoming space.
Although some would give this place a one star rating, I am giving four stars. While the place looks cool and is located near a subway station, the food is either not healthy or not tasty, the selection of games is poor, and the price of $15 per table was more than I would deem this place worthy of. I suggest simple cheese toast, maybe with jam or jam and peanut butter toast, popcorn, Aloha peanut butter bars, pretzels with dip, honey for tea, and others. Fortunately, the owner seemed nice. Nice gaming store with tables to play games. Role playing and board games available. 3d printed dice towers available to purchase. Had a chat with owner and was very personable. Prices a little on the higher side...
As someone new to Canada and trying to find a LGS for Lorcana, I found them to be the least helpful of those in my immediate area. As a reply to anything that could have been done better: I fully understand the stock shortages and stores, i'm sure including your own, have done a great job of managing their stock and avoiding being overrun by scalpers. However, despite contacting your store several times to ensure I knew when stock would be arriving, I was simply told the day they would be arriving, only to turn up early that day and be told it hadn't arrived after walking 40mins to your store. This led me to other stores who could not have been more helpful in their emails, letting me know their stock, when they opened, if they would still have any available when I arrived, just a much more personal service.
Great place to play with your friends and family. Staff is super friendly and helpful. We played Dungeons and Dragons- DND. My only feedback is, if u can also incorporate eggless desserts. Thank u : ) will visit soon!!
The Guild House is cozy and welcoming and fun. Jason helped lead our kid's board game party and they had a blast. Staff here are friendly and accommodating. Glad this is in my neighbourhood.
