I came in for dinner at Bramble on Dec 10th and was lucky enough to be served by Areti — she was absolutely amazing! Friendly, warm, and made the whole evening feel extra special. And the Beef Pappardelle… wow. I’m still thinking about it. It was so rich, tender, and insanely delicious I practically floated out of the restaurant. Can’t wait to come back!
The Sunday roast was exceptional! Roast beef, root veggies, mashed potatoes, yorkshire pudding; and amazing gravy! Jordan - our waiter- was knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. If you’re craving a traditional roast dinner - highly recommend.
Absolutely superb cute small gastropub on the Kingsway. A cool low lit atmosphere, that’s always very busy (so reserve), the cocktail selection is excellent and the food is great! The menu is a typical higher end pub menu, but, the recipes have a twist and very favourable! The prices are reasonable, as the portions are large. The takeaway options are great too. I’d easily say it’s our favourite spot on the Kingsway.
We were here for my son's wedding dinner. Staff were exceptional and attentive even though restaurant was full. Noise level was somewhat high. Food was good though I did not see that my entree was cooked in red wine! Nothing serious happened just a bit unwell. Everyone had a wonderful time.
We have been to Bramble several times, lunch, dinner and most recently Brunch. We have had excellent experiences and wonderful food, having had the fish and chips, lamb burger and a couple of the salads, all were excellent. Unfortunately, the Huevos Rancheros on our recent brunch was a total disappointment. It was basically 2 deep fried tortillas 2 sunny-side up eggs and a drizzle of sauce with a sprinkling of tomatoes and avocado. There were maybe 6 grape tomatoes cut in half, an five to ten little cubes of avocado, and garnishes of cilantro and maybe a tablespoon of feta. There was no meat, no refried beans, no crema. It was quite possibly the most disappointing huevos rancheros we have ever had for $18! I will go back for the lamb burger and fish and chips, but sadly not for the huevos rancheros!
Extremely disappointed in this establishment. We just called to make sure they were open on Easter Sunday and told they were in fact open. We asked if a reservation was required and they said no, we could walk right in. We arrived 15 minutes later to be told there was no way we could be seated and we’d definitely need a reservation. Please communicate with, or at all, with your staff so a family with a toddler isn’t left with little to no options. Will not be returning to try this restaurant.
We met some friends for a pre Christmas dinner. I had never been to Bramble before but our friends had. The cocktails were very good. I had a Charlie Chaplin. For food I had the lamb burger, which was cooked perfectly. The feta did make everything taste a bit salty but that’s what that cheese will do to any dish. We had a great time. The only downside which was minor, was a random Santa pub crawl came in and the place became very packed and very loud very fast. Thankfully we were pretty much done and left. Happy for the place to be that busy but it sure felt like too many people on the space. If you are in the Royal York and Bloor area, check out Bramble.
