Fantastic class. Maegan was so helpful and an incredible teacher. I feel so much more comfortable sewing now and I'm going to book more lessons. Thank you!

Amazingly helpful beginner lesson where I learned on my own machine. They had machines available for me to use. It was great to learn on my own machine so I now feel confident to use it. Super lesson. Things were very well explained and it was a great experience. Highly recommend.

We had such a great time learning from Megan and working on our projects! Such a cool vibe and so self directed! They have lots of cool programs! We will definitely be back!

I took the 3-week beginner tailoring course with absolutely no prior experience - I'd never even used a sewing machine before. Maegan was a fantastic instructor: patient, judgment-free, and great at explaining things in a way that made sense to a total beginner like me. Over the course, I took up two shirt hemlines, shortened a pair of pants, and took in the waist on a denim skirt - all while also learning how to thread and use the machine for the very first time. The small class size (mine had four people at different experience levels) made the atmosphere relaxed and fun. It was also inspiring to see what others were working on and learn from their projects too. Maegan gave everyone plenty of attention and tailored their guidance to each person’s skill level. Overall, I’d highly recommend this course to anyone!

I can’t recommend this place enough for sewing lessons! I’ve taken a few tailoring classes here and I learned more in a handful of hours than I have anywhere else. The class sizes are small, which helps, and Maegan is the best teacher. Everything is explained in a clear way that makes it feel easy and achievable. I was able to alter two dresses and the cost of each class is comparable to the cost of alterations by a tailor but now I have these skills forever

I just took the Beginner Tailoring course, and this has been the most useful, practical and fun sewing class I've taken in the city. It's nice learning how to sew pillow cases and drawstring bags, but nothing motivates you to improve your sewing skills like fixing your own clothes (which you've had in the closet and been meaning to take to the tailor). The instructor, Maegan, is super skilled, kind and patient. She keeps the class sizes small, so everyone gets enough time with her on projects. You can also take the workshop multiple times for different pieces of clothing (which I'll prob end up doing myself). I highly recommend this class to everyone with an interest in sewing, whether you're a complete beginner around a sewing machine or more intermediate looking for guidance with difficult pieces.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Shoppe and Tailor. Maegan is so knowledgeable, thoughtful and extremely patient. I learned so much in one session. I chose to extend my time at the studio and complete a project and I love my new pillow cover! Highly recco going here if you’re looking to better or begin your sewing journey! They also have a variety of workshops and craft nights (I can’t wait to attend!)
