I’m a very hard pick because I have tiny veins and she took her time and worked with me to try to figure it out. She was honestly incredible and made me feel so comfortable and safe. Went in for a consultation for Ozempic. The program was explained quite thoroughly however beyond that, it was a pretty uncomfortable experience. After I specified that counting calories/macros is not sustainable and actually pretty triggering based on my past experience, I was still told that I had to do it. My eating habits were picked apart as being "really bad but all you need is discipline". If discipline was that easy, I wouldn't have struggled with my weight for 10 years. After my BMI was calculated I was told "This is good as you qualify but honestly pretty bad, we need to work on this". I was a little shocked that with a nurse, there wasn't more of a sensitive language and approach used for a potential patient. After I was pressured to pay for the next month ($750 for the "experience" and $300 for the Ozempic injection) which I declined and was confused by as the doctor hadn't even done the final approval yet and hadn't been told in advance how much everything cost. It's also a three month program. I don't really understand what I was going to pay for really. With the price tag, I expected more sensitivity and personalised care based on the long survey I did. Using Ozempic is not a quick fix and I'm not interested in dropping a ton of weight really quickly, and with friends who've used it, results are still possible without extreme restrictive eating and excessive exercise which I was told was needed. We talked for an hour, but I was still presented a plan that made no sense based on my history and relationship with food, which honestly I think would have made it even worse.
I had a great experience today at REVIV. I just returned home from vacation and was feeling super drained, so Nurse Delena recommended the MegaBoost drip to help with jet lag and hydration. I feel refreshed and recharged! Delena was very personable and professional. Will certainly visit again for another boost in the future.
