Such an interesting little spot. It definitely gives off slightly creepy vibes in some corners, but then you turn around and see the cutest soaps and quirky finds you won’t see anywhere else. Super unique, really thoughtfully curated, and overall a pretty chill vibe.
This team is NEXT LEVEL. seriously the staff, prices and solutions here are awesome. I went all across queen west looking for a grinder and bong accessories these guys have the best prices and different kind of options for spill, pipe and bong smokers. I’ve never in my life shopped at a cannabis store that had SO MUCH variety. Thank you guys so much. Bowl piece broke in the morning and I left the store MORE THAN HAPPY. Also they have crystals, papers and many more. Any canabis smoker or enthusiast you have to stop here, I promise you will leave happy.
I loved absolutely everything about being here, and I truly miss being here, except Dan the manager taking out his stress on others, or finding things that I do that make his job harder and make him repeat it to me 638048470 times, each time his voice getting louder and more stressed and despite me repeatedly saying 'I understand'. And dismissing me when I try to get him to understand how he's coming across. He also talks over people, and he always says it's so that he doesn't forget what he has to say - what kind of selfish logic is that? He blames other people and customers and will say 'it's their fault' whenever there's a miscommunication or something is misplaced. He's not receptive to feedback, I don't even know how to start a serious conversation with him because the stress that consumes him is so overwhelming. And this is all because the owner, who lives 10 minutes away 'will never come in' even to give management a day off. So on top of everything, he doesn't know how the system or store operates the odd times he does come in. Dan needs to take much better care of himself during the small spaces he has time to, he just does other activities. And Andrew needs to be more involved.
We stumbled into this place while visiting Toronto from Hamilton. What an absolutely wonderful atmosphere, the staff were amazing, and the owner is a great guy. Go check them out!
This shop is a VIBE. It's in such a busy and vibrant area and it attracted me immediately...it was the only shop that literally pulled me in. Anyway, went in for a little look, came out with knowledge and really good feels...and a deck of Moon Oracle cards (what even is that? But I'm hype), a gorgeous ring (moonstone? Help me out owners, I've forgotten) and an opium essential oil, which I'm burning in my oil burner back in the UK as I'm writing this. I could spend sooo much money here, I love it.
there really is no place in toronto like shanti baba! I always tell my friends to stop by when they’re looking for all sorts of chakra and spiritual goodies. in addition to stones, scents, textiles, crystals, and tarot; you’ll find a whole array of body jewelry and art and singing bowls and pipes and unique handmade gifts. the staff are very helpful in explaining products and their healing properties, and recommend the best incense! I always feel welcome and loved the conversations we’ve had. love this place<3
This store helped me create a wonderful birthday experience for my wife. Dan was a total artist and showed me around, told me a few excellent tales and then connected me with a true artifact gem. He then did the same for a group of friends the night that followed. Thank you Dan and the crew at SB!
