I felt deceived by this clinic. My family doctor clearly referred me to see an ophthalmologist, and it was written on the referral note. However, the clinic ignored this and booked me with an optometrist instead—without informing me. After taking a day off work and arriving for the appointment, I was told I could only see their onsite optometrist first, and that I wouldn’t be able to see an ophthalmologist unless that optometrist decided it was necessary. I already have my own optometrist who knows my medical history and does my regular eye exams. If I had been told the truth from the beginning, I would have gone to someone I trust. Instead, I ended up paying out of pocket because my insurance wouldn’t cover another exam for a few more months. Overall, I felt misled and given no real choice. I hope the clinic is more transparent with patients in the future—clearly stating which type of doctor they are booking you with and any costs involved. This would prevent people from wasting time and help them receive more reliable medical advice.

I've been seeing Dr. Belovay for years now and he always remembers me and my family. He asks about my grandchildren and really listens when I describe my symptoms. The clinic is getting busier which means longer waits sometimes, but I keep coming back because I trust him completely.
