Dexter, my dog, had been attacked by a dog suffering from senility or untreated pain, and was bitten on his wrist. As a result of this, he was really struggling to walk up the stairs. Because he has a history of having an extremely high pain threshold, this was very concerning. He was clearly demonstrating back pain to touch, struggling to walk, and having a hard time just coping with normal walks, and seemed withdrawn from his friends. He had been attacked without provocation by an elderly dog, Chloe, on Queen St. near Boardwalk Animal Hospital. He attempted to withdraw from the attack rather than responding with any retaliation, and pulled back when Chloe clamped down on his left front wrist. After I saw Emma Letki, he started to show improvement in the pain symptoms, although it took months before he truly was pain free, and often required pain medication as he would lick and lick the wrist that had been injured by Chloe. Emma keeps a very calm and quiet environment in her treatment space, and it was critical for me to be able to relax and support Dexter in his care. I have an MTBI that I suffered in 2018, and Dexter has been a critical support in my recovery, helping me make gains with my rehabilitation on a number of fronts, from promoting regular exercise, to helping me on difficult ground for years, and helping me up if I fell, or indicating to me if my symptoms required me to be in a safer environment, or alerting me if I missed hearing a doorbell, which I would at times for a variety of reasons. Emma's treatments really were pivotal in helping him recover. I tried to go to a chiropractor for him, but the sessions were so short and overwhelming for me to get there, and to process, that it really was phenomenally stressful for me and had a considerable and negative impact on my nervous system dysregulation, and my own well being. Even the chiropractor remarked that osteopathy would probably be better for me to manage with my brain injury, and supported my choices in this regard, with regard to my handling of my own health and Dexter's. Osteopathy has been pivotal for my own injuries to heal, and has had a remarkable impact on Dexter's mental and physical well being, and has been absolutely crucial for his comfort levels and physical well being. This is a dog who displayed few symptoms from a severe tear of a ligament, but was displaying massive symptoms from a bite, which indicates the complexity and severity of the impact of the injury to his entire body. Emma has truly been remarkable in her kindness toward me, and her understanding and empathy toward me with regard to the stresses of my own recovery and handling my dog's recovery on top of it. It was not only her professionalism that assisted my recovery, but her empathy and profound respect and regard for accommodation of my injury symptoms as well as Dexter's during his treatments. Emma's space is low key, and understated, and for me, that is a massive help. If I was particularly tired from the stress of Dexter's rehab, I could actually take a break after her session, and lie down on the couch in the waiting area. It may seem like not such a big deal, but when you're stressed beyond your limits, being able to rest is a huge, huge godsend. Her work has been exceptional for Dexter, and her patience with his ouchy spots has allowed him to trust her over time. She's grounded and practical about handling animals, and that creates such a clean space for their trust to occur.

Seeing Emma is always such a delight. I was seeking treatment for my lower back pain and shoulder pain (clunky and out of place). What I loved about Emma's practice was that she worked on areas of my body that relaxed me while still providing a treatment to fix the areas of concern. Her holistic approach to the body is fascinating and I look forward to each visit. I am happy to report that I have been able to continue playing sports and practicing yoga after my 4 sessions with Emma. I would absolutely recommend seeking osteopathy treatments with Emma.

I didn't really understand what osteopathy was - and what it could do for my health - until I met Emma. My first visit was transformative; I felt I'd been missing and needing this modality my entire life. Emma is intuitive and practiced. Each session is different and I marvel at the variety of approaches that are part of her repertoire. Her practice site is calming and welcoming. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Emma is a wonderful practitioner that I would highly recommend visiting if you are looking for recovery from any pressing issues as well as for ongoing care. She was able to work with my stubborn injuries in a painless way. Would definitely return for more treatments!

I’m so lucky I found Emma! I started seeing her about 6 months ago to address some life-long digestive issues. It only took one session to know Emma would be able to help. She brings a combination of intuition and inquisitiveness to every session—working on what speaks to her that day, but from a holistic approach. I know our sessions have already made a world of difference. Oh, and it doesn’t hurt that Emma has a great sense of humour, too.

I have been working with Emma for a little over a year. She has been incredibly helpful guiding through the process of healing my chronic pain. She is very knowledgeable and is good at communicating information that has helped me better understand my body in this healing process. Osteopathy is such a gentle, enjoyable form of body manipulation. After every session I feel much more relaxed and grounded in my body (and no pain!)
