Beautiful gem of a store, lovely assortment to pick through in a warm, inviting environment. I’m super-happy I came across them, and I’m looking forward to an excuse to go back.
Staff is extremely friendly and helpful, you can tell the amount of thought out into their products and what they're selling. Every product is well curated and displayed to be of great quality.
The store has many beautifully designed, high-quality, and elegant items. I forgot to take a photo, but the Studio Ghibli items were absolutely lovely. The store was lively and bustling, which added to the atmosphere. I just wish the space were a bit larger so it would be easier to browse comfortably.
I love beautiful stationery. I think it's such a small way to brighten up and add creativity to life in a stressful world. I travel a lot and always make time to check out and support local stationery stores wherever I go, and The Paper Place is my favorite one in the Western hemisphere. Imo the only place that comes anywhere near it in the US is Kinokuniya in Manhattan, but I think The Paper Place easily tops it in non-book merchandise. The attached photo doesn't do their products justice, but trust me, as someone who has spent an absurd amount of time and effort looking at stickers and pretty papers and gorgeous cards and whimsical office products, their inventory is top-notch. So well-curated and unique and a great variety of designs and objects. I ended up buying a dozen individual cards in addition to stickers, papers, and memo pads because I simply couldn't eliminate any of them. It's probably better for my wallet that I live over 400 miles away, but I can't wait to visit again when I'm back in Toronto!
We LOVED The Paper Place when we lived in Toronto and used to go all the time for all kinds of things. When we moved away to Québec province, we assumed we'd left it behind - but we were wrong. I was recently looking for something online - NOT from Amazon - and there it was, available at The Paper Place. It made us so happy to find some beautiful things there - and to have the chance to support them again. The order was flawless, start to finish. I will order from them again, any chance I get.
Beautiful paper —wonderfully helpful staff. A reasonable selection of types and designs. Staff kept my order together while I wrangled large sheets of paper and a 2 year old, and everyone was so caring and pleasant.
Wow!!! If you are obsessed with all things paper, notebooks, pencils, etc., then this is the story for you!!! It’s a bit on the pricier side but it’s so much fun to explore and discover and all the beautiful paper and craft designs. Bring back handwritten letters because this place has the coolest options with unique art and stickers?
