Tried to order online, but the system wouldn't register my choices on each half of the pizza, so I called to order by phone, at which time they verified my address and approved the order. Some time later I got a call to say that they actually don't deliver to my address after all, so I agreed to pick it up instead. Some time after that, when I was about to leave my house to pick it up, I got another phone call to say they actually don't have lactose-free swiss cheese, which is the main reason I was ordering from pizzaiolo in the first place. They offered me vegan cheese instead, which, to be honest, tastes awful to me and is not what I wanted to order, especially as it was going to cost nearly $50 and I had to go pick it up myself. I feel it would have been more considerate to a) be aware of your stock availability in the first place and b) tell me right away about the issue if a key ingredient related to a food intolerance wasn't available, rather than 15 minutes later when I'm about to go pick it up. The first person I spoke with by phone was nice, but all around it was a disappointing experience - and the person who called me after 15 minutes to tell me they didn't have the lactose free cheese was pretty unapologetic about the fact that my customer experience hadn't been the best - after expressing my frustration, she just told me to have a nice day and didn't acknowledge what I had said whatsoever. If you're one of the only places in Toronto offering lactose-fee real cheese (which is not the same as vegan cheese), you may want to regularly keep it in stock, so that you can have a loyal customer base and niche that always comes to your store when they are ordering pizza (and has a good experience), my two cents ✌️

This place needs to make more vegetarian pizzas for their lunch rush. I went in at 1pm today and they are down to one vegan slice and a half cheese pizza? Who buys/eats cheese pizza? I'll tell ya who...children...5-6yr olds!!! What does that tell you Pizzaioli The vegetarian pizzas SELL! So, make more!!!

Be careful when you order. Asked multiple times how their "extra toppings" charge works. Was told what I ordered would be 1 extra topping. "Yeah this sauce would be free if you do that." They charged me for multiple toppings. Asked for clarification after seeing the receipt and they said "Yeah but after I entered the order the amount went up." but they hadn't bothered to tell me at the time. A half and half pizza counts as 2 toppings too for some reason...

I reached out to Pizzaiolo after I was in a car accident in front of their building. The employee was extremely nice and had said that they likely had footage of the accident but that the manager would need to review the footage and release it to me. Despite numerous phone calls from me, my sister and my insurance adjuster, the manager never returned our calls. I understand being busy but 2 months of phone calls not being returned is a bit excessive.

This used to be my fav local pizza spot. Yesterday experience was a disaster. Took 1h and 45 mins to get 2 pizzas and they were not worth it. Seems to be new owner and they have radically changed the dough. It sucks. Won’t be ordering again.

I was in there with my two year old and they would nt give me a cup of water for her. Made me buy a bottle of water for almost $3 for her to get a couple of sips. FYI we were paying customers and that’s after we ordered our food and we’re sitting in the restaurant. Ridiculous!!!

Pizzaiolo is St Pius X school’s pizza provider. In addition to traditional cheese/pepperoni slices, they offer students options for gluten free, dairy free, and vegetarian requests. They even open early to ensure pizzas are delivered hot and ready for the school’s lunch break. Reliable, friendly service. Highly recommend Pizzaiolo as your school’s pizza partner.
