Extremely rude bartender, ruined my entire experience and I left immediately. I guess they don’t like paying customers. Perhaps they should consider their hiring practices and hire servers who understand common courtesy and basic decency. The bar is on the floor.
As far as pool hauls go this on the higher end of what’s available in the downtown core. It’s very large, many tables and they have other games too. The drinks are well priced and most of the bar tenders are great! It’s a pool haul on Dundas West so there are all kinds of folks here and it’s really a come as you are spot. It’s a good place to play a few games and have a few drinks. My partner and I travel from the East end so yes it is worth a visit.
The City Pool Billiard Club in Toronto is the place to be. I visited last weekend, and the experience was top-notch from the moment we walked in. The club has a clean, modern atmosphere with plenty of well-maintained professional pool tables, comfortable seating, and great lighting for serious players and casual games alike. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned player, you'll feel right at home here. The staff were friendly and helpful—they got us set up quickly and even gave us a few tips since we mentioned we were fairly new to billiards. The service was fast, and the drink selection was solid, with a good variety of cocktails, beers, and non-alcoholic options.
They have five pool tables in pretty good condition. You pay for it with cash, to loonies and you’re good to go. The bar is also a cash bar, no debit or credit. Pretty good place in a good vibe.
Not a good spot for a date night. Kingstable rules, meaning you don't get to reserve a pool table, or even line up for one with change, they force you to play for the table with complete strangers. Would never visit again.
Wasn't a fan of the staff at all. Took awhile to have them even notice us for orders while they gossiped amoungst themselves. The pool tables were cool and the vibe and lighting was the mood I was looking for... yet the pool tables didn't distribute all of the balls... weird. All in all we had a good time due to my company.... but the staff needs to step up their game hardcore
when you walk into this place you feel like you walked out of the city and strolled right into a small town bar, in no was is that a bad thing. the atmosphere is chill and welcoming and the music they we're playing got me breaking a few dance moves between turns at the pool table.
