I just walked in today to purchase a bag of Beets. When I asked them for the price the guy behind the glass counter replied it's $59 for one bag. I refused to buy it because it's a ridiculously high price for a wholesaler to ask for $59 for a 25lb bag, it's cheaper to go by from Loblaws than from this guys. After that went to Kai Wei Supermarket and got the same brand of bag for $23 25lb bags. So do not support people who take advantage of customers
Their delivery van scratched my car and the driver(s) denied it. I contacted the owner and their response was "my drivers don't hit things," yet all their delivery vans are scratched, dented and otherwise completely banged up. Horrible customer service on multiple front. Take your business elsewhere.
Best apples I have ever tasted. When I'm hosting a dinner party, I go here to get the veggies and fruit that I need to impress my guests. While the prices are a little steep, I am never disappointed. If you are looking for top-notch quality, you can't go wrong here.
I used to live next door to this place. They used the area in front of my house to park their van unload boxes of produce, which I didn't have a problem with - but they also destroyed the back tire of my bike TWICE (not even parked on their side of the property line, just locked to my porch), and when I confront the guy working there he claimed "That's not what would happen if a vehicle hit your bike." I was too flabbergasted to even respond, but needless to say they lost my business.
Not having a huge logistics chain like supermarket chains means they can provide fresher produce at a lower price. I'm always surprised at how little I'm paying for how heavy my basket is. They have a large selection given their small size, with all the essentials plus rotating exotic choices like pomegranate, avacadoes, figs, pomelo, mangoes, etc. They also offer great flexibility for making single portions, e.g. you can bag your own mixed salad greens, and buy just one bulb of garlic.
One of the better produce markets in Kensington. They have everything you'll need and at a decent price. I personally always buy my citrus and herbs there, they just seem fresher than any grocery store. So swing by, it's on the corner, so ya can't miss it.
This is my go-to market in Kensington. It is small and only a few people shopping at one time make it feel cramped inside but the produce is fresh and they have great prices on fruits and vegetables.
