Beautiful store with the most beautiful Moroccan rugs I’ve ever seen! The owner is super kind and accommodating - I ordered a rug from the online site and she delivered it to me the next day. Just good vibes all around, I’ll definitely be back for more! Next time I’ll shop in person :)

My husband and I learned about Qalat through our friend as we were struggling to find the right Moroccan rug for our bedroom. The ones we liked were listed on online stores. We wanted to see the rug and interact with the seller in person to learn about where it’s made and how it’s made. Seemed like a challenge in the midst of a pandemic. We’re so happy we looked into our friend’s recommendation, walked in Qalat, and met the store owner, Ruby. Ruby was a genuine delight to meet. She was warm, very knowledgeable about her products, and patient with our questions. She showed us a number of her rugs. After thinking it through, we went back and purchased 1 beautiful rug for our guest bedroom. We then went back in hopes to get one custom made for our bedroom. She and her team (in Morocco) made our vision a reality! From the day we discussed the design details of our Beni Ourain rug to the updates and photos of the women working on the rug as well as providing us context on how it’s made and the high quality of wool that is being used, esp. how much the people value and care for their sheep in the process were truly the experience we were seeking. We’re so happy with how our first Beni Ourain rug turned out and even more happy that we supported her business and the women who worked long hours on it by hand. Their meticulous craftsmanship with creative passion really shined through in the final product. Thank you so much Ruby, Hamid, Halima and Touda! Keep up the awesome work!
