I started ordering the Chilean Sea Bass from Daily Seafood about 2 years ago. The fish has a very nice texture and my whole family loves it. When I encountered any issues with the delivery of the fish, Maria is prompt to explain or resolve them for me. Thank you Maria for your great service.
I had a delivery issue where my order was sent to the wrong address, but it was promptly resolved the next day with a redelivery to the correct location. I very much appreciate the quick fix. My only feedback is that the initial communication from the main office could have been more compassionate but ultimately, they did resolve the issue efficiently. Thank you!
A true east end neighbourhood gem and City supplier!!! Located only 750m from our doorstep, I dreamt for years about accessing this previous wholesale-restaurant only provider. When the pandemic hit, Daily opened up the option for retail sales, and we are THRILLED to have access to purchase fresh, frozen and very high quality fish and seafood at our fingertips! Daily has a unique positioning in the Japanese seafood varieties and even flies in unique Japanese produce and delicacies. Daily Seafood has been great for quality, but what’s really set the experience apart is Liban, the delivery driver. It’s rare to come across someone who consistently puts in this level of care. He calls ahead, makes sure timing works, and does everything he can to get the order to me in the best condition possible. That kind of attention is unusual these days, and it genuinely makes a difference. The seafood itself is excellent — always fresh, always reliable — but Liban’s approach takes the whole service up a notch. Daily Seafood is lucky to have him, and customers like me definitely notice.
Followed them for a while ...then took the plunge and started buying from Daily Seafood during covid and haven't stopped! Fantastic supplier with amazing produce (both in quality and variety), especially for the harder to get items - i love the whole Ora King and Copper Creek Salmons. For those who are worried that you don't get to pick, they do a great job of staying within the range you pick and i can't stress enough how good the quality of the products are. Love that their site is constantly updated with what they offer - so there's no need to keep showing up in hopes you can get the product or that it's sold out even after you've made the purchase (substitutes). They run this very well and (especially) communicate very well, unlike so many other providers i've had to deal with in the past - honestly this is probably what makes/breaks why i keep buying from them. Also love that delivery to my doorstep is packed really well, its so easy - choose your day and window. They also provide a lot of options in the butchering and packing (if you don't want to butcher it yourself and need it dressed). Personally i like buying the whole fish and butchering/packing it myself, which is nice that i have the option. Highly recommend you give their seafood products a try - just leave some for me!
Over the last 3 years I have ordered from this establishment. They say overnight delivery. Them being in Kitchener, and myself in Kingston, that should not be hard to do. The first time, the fish arrived spoiled due to a 'courier issue' and was refunded. The second time I ordered, hoping they had corrected the courier issue, which they said they 'changed couriers'. Again, the shipments was delayed 5 days!! They claimed it was weather related. Absolute nonsense. There was 1 day of snowy weather, not 5. Once again, I was refunded. The last time I ordered, they were selling Bluefin Tuna, my favorite, again, by the time the fish arrived, 4 days later, completely ruined. Thawed out completely and not safe for consumption. For a company that claims, overnight shipping, they did not live up to that. Also, the way the fish is packed, with only maybe 3 ice packs, certainly not enough to guarantee the fish will remain frozen, even if there was a 2 day window for delivery. Do better Daily Seafood.
