When KitchenMate was privately owned, it was great, good food at a decent price, although portion sizes could have been a bit bigger. Recently in early 2025, KitchenMate was bought by Loyalty Markets who immediately advertised that they had reduced the container sizes and cooking times, but what they didn't tell customers is that they also reduced the portion sizes without reducing the cost. I have since stopped buying their lunches as the cost is WAY too much for the amount of food which is too bad as I quite enjoyed the food. I can get more food at an actual restaurant for the same price or cheaper.

I ordered a chicken item, but the portion was disappointingly small. The picture was misleading, as the actual dish looked and felt completely different. It was overpriced for what I received, and the taste was mediocre at best. While the technology and concept is impressive, they seem to have overlooked the importance of delivering quality food.

Bought a sandwich at Cortellucci hospital and the message said “We will review the camera recording and will change you the next day”. So after reviewing the camera recording, the double charged me for a single sandwich. And when I’m disputing it, the return takes them up to 2 weeks! What a bunch of crooks taking advantage of the people at a hospital!

I had the Beef Barbacoa Bowl at the Queensway Hospital while waiting at the Emergency Department. The food was very delicious and warm. As I was eating, the staff came and replenished the food with fresh ones and removed the bowls that were there before.

I had this at 11pm from CMH hospital site. I was vomiting and so sick after eating it. The rice was also hard in certain parts. The meat looked like grand beef not like on the picture. Will not buy again.

Honest review - I've been a huge advocate for this in our condos and have tried multiple items using my partners account or mine. Food is good for the most part but the convenience trumps all for me, especially as a professional working from home. However, I did find a piece of metal in my Patagonia Salad today which was very disappointing. Contacted staff through the app and got a refund and voucher, but not sure how this experience will impact my use of this or advocacy in future. Wish I could post a picture but the ability settings to do so seems to be off.

I recently tried out the KitchenMate at our corporate office and I have to say that while it's a great concept and the mobile app user interface and user experience are both nice, the actual product itself did not meet my expectations. I found that the portion sizes were small for the price and not filling enough. Additionally, the heating time was much longer than I anticipated, which was frustrating as I was looking for a quick and easy meal solution.
