First time at a skateboard shop and was looking to start learning how to ride and cruise. The staffs were very knowledgeable and helpful in building me a skateboard with several budgets in mind. I strongly recommend this shop If you are serious about acquiring quality skateboards or fashionable clothing.
Guy with the long hair and British accent is AWESOME! Gave me lots of great advice for my snowboard gear upgrades :) though the item I wanted to purchase wasn’t in stock, I definitely will be making a purchase from this store in the future just because he was such a great sales associate!
Customer service here is great, good product selections and standard prices. I always try and support local snowboard shops. The only thing I won't be coming back to So Hip for is getting my board waxed. Last season I brought my board here and they did an "alright" wax job on it. It was a bit patchy. I decided to give them another shot a few weeks ago and it first glance it seemed liked it was done properly (I picked the board up same day, so the wax hadn't cured totally). A couple of weeks later I was pulling my board out to pack it for an upcoming trip and it looked like no wax was applied to it. The black base was instead white and looked like it had been ridden for a few years without any wax on it. I ended up just dropping it off at a local shop in Ajax near my work and they were able to get it waxxed properly in time for my flight. So great customer service for product shopping...but two different times having issues with wax jobs at almost $40 each shows me that unfortunately I gotta take my board elsewhere for that particular service. I'm sure most people have good experiences with the waxxing there (you probably will too), but I'll just use the spot near my work going forward.
I thought I would try something different and order a pair of shoes online. SoHip had the style I was looking for and they shipped them out quickly. I received my és accel OG shoes and they fit great. Thanks SoHip!!
Bought a Land Yachtz Drop Hammer Oak to keep busy during quarantine, was shipped the next day and arrived at my house the day after (I live in the GTA) Product was as described and excellent quality. Will be coming here / ordering here for all future skate equipment. Support your local businesses! Would highly recommend So Hip! Heard incredible things about the staff and can't wait for Covid to calm down so I can come in and learn / chat!
Picture this: pandemic2k20 and we’re all social distancing. I need a new hobby. I check the site and find a board I’m in love in but don’t know what I’m looking for. So I email the store. I get a detailed reply within 15 mins. In less than 50 mins from my original email, I’ve gotten all of the info I need, bought a board online, and I’ve been offered free next day delivery. I was never made to feel like I didn’t know what I was doing or like I was some newb. Just genuine support and encouragement for my new hobby. Will absolutely be going in once all of this social distancing is a thing of the past. Thanks, So Hip!
They sell fake Vans products, if you know how the clothing industry works there should be scanning serial number on Vans products' tags, they're cold towards me because I'm Asian and skateboards don't have brands, plan b, enjoi only cost 75$ and their stuff just expensive (250$) for nothing, I bought a skateboard and some bearings for my longboard they both bad, if you want to skateboard, shop online
