Just wandered in looking for a snack while waiting for someone and had the Sausage rice roll very good! Filling, tasty and freshly made. I will be back for more snacks!!
I’ve had a really good experience at this restaurant every time I’ve visited. The staff has always been friendly, patient, and welcoming, and the service feels efficient without being rushed. Even when it gets busy, they stay attentive and polite. The food is fresh, portions are reasonable, and the prices feel fair for the quality. It’s a reliable spot — you get exactly what you expect, and everything tastes consistently good. Overall, it’s a solid place to grab a meal, and I’ll definitely keep coming back.
The cashier’s attitude was completely unacceptable. She acted visibly annoyed the entire time, as if something else was bothering her, and took it out on me. When I asked a simple question about the menu, she told me to “just read the menu,” in a way that made it sound like I was doing something wrong. Then a few customers walked in after me, and suddenly she became all friendly — clearly treating me differently for no reason. It honestly felt targeted. And for what? The portions are tiny. The price looks fairly cheap at first glance, but the value is terrible. Overall, an unreasonably bad experience, and I walked out feeling disrespected and disappointed. Don’t come here
The staff here treated me very rudely simply because I spoke Chinese when ordering. I was shocked by how unprofessional and unfriendly the service was, especially in a diverse city like Toronto. No customer should ever feel disrespected because of the language they use. This kind of attitude will only drive people away and damage the restaurant’s reputation. I strongly urge the management to take this issue seriously. If this employee cannot treat all customers with basic respect, they should not be representing your business. Allowing behavior like this will only hurt the store’s profits in the long run. I hope the manager addresses this promptly so other customers don’t go through the same experience.
Authentic Taiwanese-style breakfast and décor! The portion sizes are average, but the flavors are truly authentic. The egg pancake paired with their garlicky soy paste tastes exactly like home — absolutely nostalgic! We also ordered the braised pork noodles — hearty portion, tasty braised pork, and the noodles have that classic Tainan-style texture. The black tea is also super traditional and authentic. Definitely recommended!
As a Taiwanese who has lived in North America for 5+ years, I generally know the baseline for Taiwanese breakfast abroad. But this time was… below that baseline. 1). Egg crepe came with “bonus” eggshell -- crispy in the wrong way. I was like "what's this magical texture" and then I felt my tooth hurt. 2). Rice roll was small and cold, and barely any fillings. 3). I ordered unsweetened soy milk, but got the sweet version. They did kindly offer me to exchange it, so I thought “ok, this is the Taiwanese warmth I remember.” I switched to milk tea. Up to here, still fine. Then over the counter the server started speaking Mandarin on the phone (I think), making some kind of negative comment about a customer exchanging their drink; presumably assuming I didn’t understand Mandarin. (I’m a native speaker.) I wasn’t confronted directly, but the tone made it slightly uncomfortable. I hope this store improves in my future visits. And if it does, I’ll update my rating. I really want Taiwanese breakfast to do well in North America
I thought the food here was decent. But it was certainly not anything super special. I didn’t feel like anything particularly stood out in a good nor bad way. I think you can get full off of the meals. The milk tea was good. The space is really really small. The main table was full and we could hear their conversation really clearly since they were so close to us, so we ate the food at a park. Wouldn’t really reco dine in.
