What a welcoming, warm group of people at Parkway Valley! Excellent programming/events to get to know people and find playing partners. The Board volunteers their time to ensure it’s a fun, involved and safe community club!
I had an unpleasant experience. The club is run by an uncooperative and difficult management team, making every interaction frustrating and challenging.
Absolutely unpleasant experience trying to use the tennis courts during public hours. The club and its president Anne is preventing the public from accessing courts by intentionally bolting locks (that required us to call 311), using the courts for private club lessons during public hours, and condoning disrespectful behaviour that create a bad experience for non club members
Had an extremely unpleasant experience from this club. We came during the public hours and encountered an issue where the management deliberately kept the doors locked. It seems like even during the public hours they don’t want the general public to come. Then we were faced with racial and discrimination comments from the coach and management who told us that we can’t play pickleball here. We did are due diligence and called the council and confirmed with them that during the PUBLIC HOURS you are permitted to play pickleball. Then they called the president Anne who was so rude to us. Not giving us an opportunity to discuss or explain just simply telling us to get off the court. There is way to explain but she didn’t give us the opportunity and it literally seemed like she didn’t even bother listening to us She locked the doors in front of us when one of our rackets was still inside the court. We kindly asked her if we could quickly grab our racket and leave and she took a good 10-15 mins locking the door and not allowing us to go in and grab the racket. Luckily one of the gentleman was kind enough to open the door and give us our racket. I request the council to closely look into this before any other member has to go through this horrible experience
This is a great tennis club! Very friendly people, warm and welcoming. Great courts with lighting at night and they have extra two courts that are near by. So technically 6 courts to play at. I also really like the round robins and the league games. Lots of summer programming available to members. I’m glad I joined - it’s a great club!
There are so many reasons to like this club but the #1 reason is the club Pro Sasha G. She has been coaching both our kids for the last 3 summers and the kids absolutely love her. She has teaching chops as a former player, but above all she is great with kids. Her coaching has had both on and off court advantages, building confidence and overall fitness that has translated well in other sports. Also check out her weekend bootcamps for adults...tough but super worth it!!
Absolutely awful first experience with this club for tennis camp. I highly recommend, O'Connor Hills Tennis camp instead of Parkway. The President of the Club is useless as well. DO NOT waster your time and money. If it were possible to give no stars, I would.
