Visited on a Friday around lunch time. Picked up a tin of Three Nuns and some Partagas Puritos. Great prices, wide selection of products and amazing service! Thanks again.
I’ve been going to Cheers since the 1980’s when they were in the Grange on McCaul Street across from Ontario College of Art, where I was a student. I was a smoker st the time and always bought my cigarettes from them. Great people and I’ve had wonderful service every time I’ve been there.
I’m here to say that I’m also in fact surprised that some reviews mention the owners to be friendly. I came into the shop as a tourist to purchase two packs of normal cigarettes. When I wanted to pay it turned out they don’t accept any foreign credit cards, debit cards or even apple pay. Only cash. When asking where there was an ATM I got barked at by the owner aggressively tapping his wrist saying they were gonna close in 20 minutes and that I basically had to take my business elsewhere. Down the street there’s a supermarket called ‘HastyMarket’, I went there to get what I needed and instead of getting yelled at I was treated kindly.
very good prices and selection I was surprised. my only complaint would be I found the customer service on the weak side. I wanted staff there to be more enthusiastic with recommendations. Maybe it was the double masking covid hysteria. if i was a newbie id have had no clue on what to buy. in their defense they were a little busy at the time.
What a fantastic family owned and runs shop, the couple are welcoming and so humble. They make you feel super comfortable and the lady even remembered me from 5mos ago despite having my mask on. They likely have some of the best prices in the area hands down. They have a very good Cuban offering as well. Definitely go check them out
Found what i wanted. But i am surprised by the reviews which says store owner is friendly. HE IS NOT AT ALL FRIENDLY. Looks like he think the customers are either thieves or beggars. In canada he must learn how to treat customer with respect and dignity. You cant be at the counter if you have some kind of anger or anxiety problems.
Good selection but the owners appear to be angry and miserable. They are impatient and exercise no customer service skills. They sold me a tobacco I did not want and when I wanted to return it they refused to take any responsibility. If you do not need to stop here don’t.
