I've been wanting to come here for the longest time, but I thought it would make me sad. Since losing my father, I've lost my last connection to my heritage, but visiting here today honestly made me feel a little like I was at my Baba's house as a kid. I don't leave a lot of reviews for places, but I have to for Heavenly Pierogi. I've always believed food is the best way to connect to a culture, and eating there today gave me back something I thought I had lost.
It's inside the church basement which was very interesting? not too busy, the food is good. But don't trust the price on the Google photos, go to their website to see the current price, because it's a lot higher.
I have always wanted to try their food and saw their stall at the BWV Ukrainian Festival, and was really impressed. Great vegan options, loved the cabbage roll!
What a lovely hidden gem. I had the borscht and the mixed perogy plate. Delicious!! Loved the dill flavouring in the two kinds of coleslaw. Loved all of it! I also brought back nice memories from the church basement growing up, where dinners were held. A nice, homey place to visit (especially for us, with a dear family member in Toronto Western Hospital up the street).
Love the location next to my Doctor, food was really good! Service is amazing! Glad the place was not so busy when I arrived, and if you are in a rush a nice sandwich will do the trick!
This restaurant has very tasty food! I ordered online more than once, came in person, and will definitely come again! Definitely recommend everyone to try!
The pierogies are truly heavenly - you’re guaranteed a transcendental experience if you make your way here. The lady manning the store is delightful - my friend and I stayed for 3 hours and could not leave as we were enjoying ourselves too much. Highly recommended!
