Fantanstic food. The boiled veggies in chili oil is especially good, with an incredibly realistic seafood savouriness. I also recommend the lions mane skewers.

This one was disappointing because my first visit was great. It was actually the first restaurant I tried when I got to Toronto, and I left impressed. I had the Asahi Sapporo, the lotus root dumplings, the mushroom skewers, and a black-rice mango sticky rice. Everything tasted good. So I went back. Completely different story. I ordered the braised veggie ball, the king oyster mushroom wraps, and one other dish that was so rough I honestly forgot what it was. I told the server I couldn’t finish it because it just wasn’t good. He apologized, but still left it on the bill, which felt off. What really bothered me this time was the atmosphere. There was a girl helping him, and she looked miserable in a way that made the whole place uncomfortable. Not annoyed. Not tired. Miserable. It changed the entire vibe. You’re sitting there eating, and suddenly the room feels heavy. I didn’t know what to say or do, but it didn’t feel right. After that experience, I can’t recommend this place anymore. The first visit had promise. The second one felt unsettling, and the food didn’t come through. I don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes, but the environment alone was enough for me to decide I’m not going back.

Fantastic vegetarian food. The lions name mushroom skewers, mushroom Peking duck and this other mushroom dish in black bean sauce were outstanding. I can't wait to go back, I'll be dreaming about it.

Stopped in for some takeout and ordered a wine while waiting on a quiet weekday afternoon. The menu looks amazing. I ordered a tasty tofu dish and the mushroom bokchoy dumplings, both shown in photos. Very pleasant delicious experience.

You have GOT to try their vegan peking duck (they call it "king oyster mushroom pancake"). It's mind-blowing!! The bbq lion's mane skewers are also phenomenal, as well as the steamed dumplings. I haven't had anything from VegeDelight that I didn't like! I just wish they were on DoorDash so I could order more often!

The food here is excellent. Loved the vegan/vegetarian dishes. The chef in the kitchen know the flavor palette that gives a savory taste to every bite.

Food is excellent and service is good. I would give 5 stars except for the following incident: a homeless man came in an sat beside 2 young girls at a table, went on a loud monologue about how he was unfortunate and then asked for their food. It completely killed the enjoyable night for my party and everyone at the restaurant. The girls and people around were visibly uncomfortable. A family near my table packed their food and left very soon after as a result of the homeless guy causing disturbances. Unfortunately in the downtown core, people like this try to enter restaurants. The staff need to be attentive and immediately expel these people or better yet, prevent it from happening. It went on for way too long and guests aren't paying to be subject to that kind of experience. I hope the owners can take note and act on this immediately.

Excuse me Sir, I am so sorry to hear your story but I am afraid that you left the comments on wrong restaurant. It is vegedelight restaurant and only offer vegetarian foods, no meat or seafoods at all. Could you withdraw this and select the correct business for your experience? Appreciate!
