I have Celiac disease and finding a place to eat in a fall hall setting can be challenging. So happy to have found this place. The staff patiently answered my questions - separate fryers for gluten free food, arepas prepared on separate surfaces - felt safe eating here. The food was delicious! Had the Rumbera arepa - really juicy pulled pork, creamy garlic sauce and generous cheese. I thought the price was reasonable for the venue. Got a couple empanadas for later.
Yum! Don't be scared off by the price and the deceptively small size of an unfilled arepa. They are stuffed! Great flavours and the pulled pork we got was perfectly cooked. Not the most comfortable seating at the counter, but the arepa more than made up for that. Have also been to the North York location and the quality is the same.
The Arepa Republic has a branch at the Waterworks Food Hall on Brant Street. Opening hours are 11am until late. We tried a couple of their arepa recently and found them to be good portion size, reasonably priced and overall pretty good. Not particularly familiar with this food item so not sure how these faired compared to others but enjoyed them nonetheless and would be interested in trying again based on this experience.
This new food mall concept is awesome! There are plenty of food options and a cozy bar area with couches where you can comfortably enjoy a drink or chat with friends. The food at Arepa Republic is amazing, as always! Congratulations on this great initiative! ?
Never order anything from this place. It’s a complete scam. This is the second time I’ve ordered through Uber Eats and they only send half the order. Do not ever buy or order anything from here.
Unfortunately quality has declined. The arepa is already made, warmed up and then they put meat and cheese without even melting it. It lacks of love and care.
We came for tequeños and empanadas and we were not disappointed. Portions are generous. Empanadas had good Size The food hall is beautifully decorated. We will come back to try their arepas ?
