The food was delicious. I make my own stock and so I really appreciate when a homemade stock is offered to me in a restaurant. The noodles were so delightfully Al dente and not that mushy nonsense. You often get in restaurants. The service was excellent, kind, cheerful and very courteous. And the spice level was just as I requested and was absolutely right for me.

I work nearby and have eaten at this Mogouyan location countless times. I always order the same noodle — classic thickness, spicy level 3 — and I know exactly what the dish is supposed to look and taste like. What I was served this time was nothing short of outrageous. The bowl that arrived at my table looked like someone dumped an entire jar of chili peppers straight into the soup. The chili clump was so massive that I genuinely thought it was a meatball at first. I pulled out handfuls of peppers, yet the broth continued to turn darker and darker, which clearly shows how excessive and careless the preparation was. When I asked the server — who claimed to be the manager — to explain what happened, things went from bad to unbelievable. Instead of acknowledging the obvious mistake, he tried to gaslight me by insisting this was “standard level 3 spiciness.” As a frequent customer who has ordered this dish more times than I can count, I know exactly what level 3 looks like, and this was nowhere close. Watching him stand there and confidently deny reality was honestly insulting. What made the situation even worse was his attitude. No responsibility. No attempt to make it right. Just arrogance, excuses, and a complete refusal to admit fault. If this is truly the “manager,” then the restaurant has a serious problem — because no competent manager handles a clear mistake by arguing with a loyal customer and pretending that dumping a mountain of chili into a bowl is normal. This experience is not just disappointing — it’s concerning. It shows reckless food preparation, zero quality control, and customer service that is completely unacceptable. I have been to multiple Mogouyan locations across the GTA, and I have never encountered anything remotely close to this level of negligence. If the owner of this store actually cares about food standards and the reputation of the brand, they need to look into this incident seriously.I will be sharing this experience, along with photos, across social media and review platforms so other customers know what to expect. People deserve to be aware of how this location is serving food and how its so-called “manager” handles complaints.

It was hot and stuffy inside without air conditioning (it was sunny that day). There was no clerk to greet me when I entered. He was playing on his phone and I left after sitting down for about a minute. The service was very poor.
