Tibet Café and Bar delivers a truly authentic Tibetan dining experience. The momos are fresh, juicy, and packed with flavour—easily one of the highlights. Their laphing is perfectly balanced with the right mix of spice and texture, making it a must-try for anyone who loves bold flavours. The chicken chili is another favourite, offering the perfect blend of heat and savoury goodness. Along with great food, their drinks are refreshing and crafted with care, complementing the meal beautifully. The ambience is warm, cozy, and aesthetically pleasing, with Tibetan décor and soft lighting that create a peaceful and inviting atmosphere. Overall, Tibet Café and Bar stands out for its food authenticity and comfortable, aesthetic vibe—highly recommended.
I ordered two drinks, and first off, the staff were really polite and attentive — great service! Mango Smoothie: I thought it would be like mango juice, but it wasn’t too icy and super rich. Unlike other places with lots of ice and little fruit, this one tasted amazing — highly recommend! Tibetan Butter Tea (hot): First time trying it, very unique. You can taste the butter and it’s salty, not sweet. The first sip was smooth and surprisingly tasty, really enjoyable. The café’s décor is a nice mix of Tibetan style with some Western Canadian touches, giving it a cozy and unique vibe. Sitting there, listening to music, watching the street and TV, it felt so relaxing and cozy.
I love coming here for momos! They always hit the spot when I'm craving something warm, hearty, and flavorful. The decor is beautiful, filled with vibrant Tibetan art that really adds to the atmosphere. It's run by a local mom-and-pop team, and I love supporting them as they contribute so much to the community.
Lovely experience! We tried the Cajun chili momos, which were brought to our table so quickly, yet they were hot and fresh. The sauce was decently spicy but not overbearing. The smoothie was refreshing as well - tasted like real fruit but wasn't watery despite being non-dairy. A great place in Kensington to chill with family and friends. Would come again!
We have been here thrice already. The staff is amazing, always smiling.Ask for their recommendations if you cannot decide and get a feeling of ordering 'one of each'. Their stir fry with crispy noodles is a MUST TRY. Food quality in general is pretty amazing. Vietnam iced coffee was out of the world.
Rude and un-inviting. Asked to use a washroom( which you legally cannot refuse anywhere in Ontario). Was rudely told it was for paying customers only. If you had given me a minute I would have purchased a beverage and meal. Can’t comment on the actual food sorry. June 30 2024 * Your reply to this is a sad excuse and from other reviews no surprise. you are also very incorrect as you are a tax paying business open to the public no? Guess not. Either way simple kindness goes a long way. I needed a safe place to take medication Also I walked out immediately as your bartender who addressed me with attitude. There was no sorry about it but that’s okay we had a lovely dinner down the street with our friends.
The Pad Thai was really delicious. The restaurant looks cozy, nothing fancy, but the atmosphere is amazing. They are super friendly; it feels like you are gathering at a friend’s house. The service is above and beyond, making you feel at home. Will definitely come back!
