I usually enjoy coming to Burrito Boyz, but during my last visit I noticed something that really concerned me. It was dinner time and I saw only two employees working, both looking extremely stressed while 5–6 customers were waiting to order. When I finally placed my order, I asked one of the staff members whether they receive the tips that customers leave. Their response suggested that they don’t actually receive any of those tips, which was honestly surprising and disappointing to hear. As a customer, it feels unfair if the people doing all the work aren’t benefiting from the tips meant for them. I think other customers should be aware of this. Thanks for reading.
This is my first and last experience at the bloor location as I ordered veggie burrito and the girl who made my burrito just wrapped a meat burrito and then started making my burrito without even changing the gloves and rolled my burrito. When I asked that girl about changing gloves, she is like I changed it, and then she started talking with other guy in their native language. As I have seen everything When I ask her for a refund, she is like we already made your burrito we can't give you refund and when I ask for manager she said manager is not here. Management should fire this kind of employee who doesn't even know professionalism in front of customers. Her name is karina or similar which I heard from other employee.
I showed up at 8:30 on a Sunday night, store closes at 10 PM. The dining room is closed for some reason… They explained why but it sounded like lame excuses. I will take my $20 somewhere else. Customer service is a thing of the past. Update… As suspected the explanation was BS. I went across the street and ate something else and on my way back. There was a gentleman sitting in the dining area eating a burrito. There is so much wrong with this, absolutely disgusting people.
Portions at this location are noticeably smaller and they will without fail forget items in your order every time. I've been understanding in the past but they offer basically nothing for the same issue again and again.
My go-to spot for a local burrito. Competent service - my (online) order has ALWAYS been received & acknowledged (and billed accurately), upon pick-up my order is correct & ready promptly. Food itself is good (taste/portion) - I believe I get what I pay for. I have patronized this location upon opening and they have proved reliable (unlike Fat Bastard) and I continue to return.
I really recommend this place for great vegetarian options! On Sunday evening, I stopped by this location and ordered the Ground Soy Naked Burrito for myself — the flavor was amazing. I also got a Regular Sweet Potato Burrito for my friend, which was really good too. The sweet potato portion was generous and satisfying. Unlike some other locations where it feels like you’re just eating rice and veggies, this one actually gives a good amount of protein.
The service is good but the food is not great. Also there was a child behind the counter next to all the food in a full winter coat and back pack for more than 5 minutes. Unsanitary but also just a weird place for a kid to be when they have many available tables and chairs in the dining area. My food was not good and the chicken had fine bones (like fish) which makes no sense unless they are added canned chicken or tuna to "stretch the protein amounts" very gross.
