I had been mulling over building a custom closet for the longest time - I was worried about the cost, the amount of time it would take and more. I kept seeing ads for the deal that Closets by Design was having and I went for it- it was a free consultation afterall… It started with Iris, I told her my needs and immediately she started sketching a layout for my two existing closets. When we got to building the custom closet she laid out a dream closet for me with the limited space she had - she went as far as measuring my shoes to make sure they fit! After working out a price she worked extra hard to get me a better deal and with 0% financing for 12 months- it would be extremely affordable. After I told some friends about what the cost was, they all were shocked at how low it was for what I was getting! From the inception - Iris adjusted, suggested, changed what she thought would work best for my space. We booked installation. They gave me an arrival window of 9-11am and Abu and Tanzin (the installers) showed up right on time- 9am These two men were wonderful, courteous, clean and not disruptive at all, unless they had a question about my needs. I was able to work from home without disturbances (less the periodic sounds of the drills of course). They worked tirelessly to get my closets completed and were done by 4:45pm. I cannot believe what these two men managed to accomplish in one working day. I spoke to a realtor friend who told me I likely just increased the value of my one bedroom condo because of this decision I made. To everyone considering working with Closets By Design- DO IT! With a free consultation and a little time out of your day To go through your needs, there’s really no pressure to go ahead, but you’ll be amazed if you do. We are absolutely thrilled with our experience with Closets by Design! Abby, our interior designer, was incredible to work with. She took the time to understand our needs and created hand-drawn designs with such care and precision — a rare touch these days and so impressive. Joren, our installer, was just as amazing. He’s a true perfectionist: meticulous, professional, and made sure every detail was flawless. The entire installation was finished in just two days, and the results are beyond what we imagined. We couldn’t be happier and highly recommend both Abby and Joren for anyone considering a closet project!
Unfortunately the sales pitch is far away from the execution and the quality you will receive. Design elements were completely missed (eg space to hang dresses) and for „custom“ the shelf’s don’t really align and leave gaps. Baseboards were left dirty
Had an agent visit my home to quote me on a closet. I seriously scoffed at the price for adding a shelf and a hanger bar in two mini closets, was just over $2000. I happily made them myself for $120 total (it would have been $90 but I messed up). I am sure they have nice closets, but unless there is a significant discount, not worth it, quality or design. My mom's is 5years old and some 'custom' veneering on a heavily used shelf is already peeling. Hire yourself a contractor and they will be able to design and build it at half your quote.
Terrific company. Great people. Could not be happier. Sara understood what we wanted and measured and drew it out with speed and accuracy. The installers came today and put it all together. They were friendly, efficient and did it all in one day. We were ready to clean up but they did that as well. We recommend Closets by Design without hesitation. Thank you!!
Very happy with the results. ClosetsbyDesign is very professional and reliable. Sara was most helpful in providing the designs for our small closets. The installer arrived on time. He was polite, courteous and professional. He was great at cleaning up the areas that he worked on. I especially appreciate how the doors for one closet were custom-measured and cut, so that they one up when closed, even though the closet itself is not plumb and square. The only thing that didn’t work out for us that was the belt hanger; because the closet is so small, the hanger couldn’t be placed high enough to be practical.
We are moving in to our new condo and the general idea was just closets when we actually found out the variety of organizing solutions your company offers.
