A nicely designed space that serves only Ethiopian coffee. Any cafe with a long counter in the window is a friend of mine, good people watching on Queen Street. The coffee was very tasty as well.
Thank you, Ruth for the lovely service. I got myself a caramel latte. However, it had desirable nutty flavor to it. Absolutely loved the ambience. If you want to spend some time with yourself, this is your place.
Great vibe. Warm and cozy and great for working. Wifi and everything. They tag as the birthplace of coffee and offer alot of different beans. The staff is sooo awesome and nice. I really appreciate them!
My friends and I stopped in to use the washroom, but we did pay for drinks while we were there as well. The girl with braces was pretty rude, rolled her eyes a lot and gave us an attitude for asking for the washroom since they seem to have to buzz you in. We ended up not even using it because there was no toilet paper and it was kinda gross. When my friend went up to the girl again to let her know there was no toilet paper, the girl just rolled her eyes again and turned around and didn’t do anything. Stomping up and down behind the counter and rolling your eyes at us is very teenager. We got the butterfly pea lemonade, it was fine, I didn’t care too much for it and let one of my friends finish up my drink. Unfortunate that the girl was childish and rude, since the place looked very cute inside and many customers were working pretty quietly.
An old man in the southern U.S. once responded to a customer who asked for sugar in his coffee: "What's wrong with you, you ain't drinking coffee?" Since then, whenever I order coffee, I keep it simple, without any sugar. At this place, I still haven't quite figured out the true taste of the coffee, I'm not sure why... maybe I'm not experienced enough. That said, it's a cool spot to grab a drink, relax, and browse on your computer. They offer a lot of drink options, like coffee, smoothies, and more. However, the pastry selection is not only limited but also a bit on the pricey side. Overall, it's a great place.
Absolutely stunning café! Atmosphere is equal parts great decor paired with the scent of beans roasting and burning frankincense. Lovely customer service and delightful oat cortados. Baked goods are always fresh.
I went this morning for the very first time and I have to say that even though the place looks really nice, the service on the other hand was quite poor. The three girls behind the counter looked completely lost. I’m not sure if it was their first day, but they didn’t seem to know the menu at all. I asked the girl taking my order what she thought about the butterfly coffee, and she couldn’t even tell me if it tasted good or not. It was a very quiet morning, yet my order (just a regular latte and a drip coffee) took around 20 minutes. They made two mistakes with my order . first they tried to give me a drink I hadn’t ordered, and then it seemed like they couldn’t find my ticket or something. I honestly don’t know what happened. The place itself is nice and their coffee is actually good, but the service really needs improvement.
