An Unforgettable 40th Birthday Bash – 80s Style at Roll This Way! We hosted my 40th birthday party at Roll This Way sushi-making event space, and it was absolutely legendary! The theme was 80’s dress-up, and the entire night was a perfect mix of nostalgia, fun, and foodie delight. The team—especially owners Dominika and John—made everyone feel incredibly welcome. Their energy and passion set the tone for a fantastic evening. Friends could make any song request throughout the night, adding a fun, personalized karaoke experience, complete with a lively MC who kept the party rolling. We also had an on-site sushi chef who prepared an absolutely delicious all-you-can-eat sushi spread! A major hit of the night was the signature sake bomb drinks—served with chopsticks as a clever and playful touch for the shots. Everyone loved it, and it became a memorable (and hilarious) part of the celebration. Laughter, singing, dancing, and nonstop sushi—this party truly had it all. So many of our friends have already booked their own events here since. My husband and I had such a great experience learning how to make sushi and enjoying bottomless mimosas. Already planning to come back with friends and book karaoke for my Husbands birthday! Sushi John is the best. I wish we were his friends
We had an amazing experience with Chef Nori yesterday. The class size was perfect and the pace was great even for a beginner like myself. The team puts in so much work to ensure everyone has a wonderful experience. The ingredients are fresh, high quality, and the rolls were delicious. I loved the variety we made and I love how we learned so much more about the techniques, history, and Japanese culture. This class is very inclusive and versatile. It’s perfect for dates, team building, friends, family, single individuals, and really anyone. We highly recommend this class if you are ever in Toronto!
RollThisWay was AMAZING! We had a private Christmas party at our home for 200 people and everyone loved the sushi! The staff were very professional. Set up was fantastic and the presentation was top notch. They will definitely be a part of our next event!
