This is not a real business. I spent the greater part of an hour trying to find the drop off location after paying for service online. They don’t exist in the directory, if you call the number provided on Google a general assist will tell you to look up REGUS, which is also not physically in the building. If you try to call this location directly then you’ll get an automated recording and nothing else. Save your money and go elsewhere
This company will charge $95 to even look at your drive. Tell you the quote will come in at around 200-300 and 48 hrs to fix then slap you with a thousand dollar quote and say it’ll take 2 weeks or you can pay them twice as much to have it done in 2-3 days. They kept promising urgent timelines then failing to meet them. Took them a week to even look at my sd card. When I asked them to urgently ship it back to me it took them two days and 3 phone calls to even get me a quote on shipping. Once they realize they aren’t getting all your money they don’t care about you. This was an absolutely dire situations and they did nothing but try to take advantage of it and me and lie the whole way through. Read the other reviews.
Scam! They quoted me $4,000 to get 250GB off a drive. LOL. I used Disk Drill and got 99% of it back at a cost of $87. There are a million other companies that don't ask for a kidney do the same job.
I couldn't be happier with the services provided by We Recover Data. There was a miscommunication with billing that the team rectified, and even offered me discount on their online data vault. These guys will go above & beyond to make things right for their customers, and for that reason I would 100% recommend their services. I went with the Economy Recover plan, but my drive was worked on & finished way before the expected 3-4 week range. These guys know what they're doing!
One day I corrupted my system, never did I think I would see my data ever again. WeRecoverData Data Recovery tech is a real professional with very strong domain expertise. He may take his time with the work depending on the complexity but he never gave up and retrieved almost all my files (corruption free). Bottom-line, this guy knows his stuff and I am only ever going to use him for my data and computer issues going forward. Highly recommended!

I brought my external drive to WeRecoverData and got a quote, which was +95% and +140% higher than the other companies I went to after this debacle. I provisionally paid for the 3-4 week standard service and I heard nothing back from WeRecoverData with updates throughout the 3-4 weeks, bearing in mind losing personal data is a sensitive matter for there customers which they know and showed they couldn’t careless throughout. When I called them after the 4 weeks the Canadian office guy was totally useless and gave fluffy/worthless updates that 'they are working on the external drive still'. When I asked when would this be finalised as we had passed the agreed time of 3-4 weeks, they said they needed one more week, which was fine with me - I am reasonable, but the communication throughout was none existent. So another week passed and again no update/no call - nothing! So I called again, same old BS we are working on it - No real detail of what they had actually been doing and when I asked to speak with the engineers the Canadian office front desk guy said you cannot do that they are two busy. So I said I need this resolved no later than another week, which was now double the time at 6 weeks in total. Again, no problems with this, but please could you actually contact me with updates bearing in mind the sensitivity nature of losing personal data. So we get to week 6, nothing back from WeRecoverData again, so I call WeRecoverData again and this time while the front desk guy has me on-hold while he speaks with the engineers phone after speaking to the useless front desk guy at there Canada office I miraculously see my first email from WeRecoverData SIX WEEKS LATER, with a one liner saying 'Come pickup your memory box' and there was another line saying '- Update description: ' with nothing else!!!! So then I speak to the engineer guy Pavelo (something like that) and I am thinking great we are done based on the one liner in the email.......No,no,no the email was just meant for me to come and pickup your box we cant fix it. I am not upset about that they could not fix it, it is the complete lack of empathy that they are dealing with people who have entrusted them with sensitive data and the way they managed me throughout this process was the worst I have been treated in a business transaction ever……No updates, when I called them BS responses and then sending me my first update email 6 weeks later while I am on the phone and you keep me on hold on the phone and send me a sly email. Honestly when you combine this with the astronomical fee that they attempted to charge me, beware of these guys total pirates!!!! DO NOT USE THEM. PS When I went to pickup the memory box Rocky in the North York office, was a great guy and gave some insightful info what they had attempted to do and also A guy called Daniel in customer service was based in the US was helpful and nice also throughout the times I called over 6 weeks......Apart from those two guys zero stars and I have another friend who needs help with his HDD drive and I’ve sent him elsewhere. If anyone from WeRecoverData responds on my review state your name so I know if I have dealt with you before and also I seen someone responded from WeRecoverData apologising to other poor reviews saying to call there office, honestly I am never calling you lot again, i have been calling you over 6 weeks. If you genially care about my extended shockingly bad business experience give me my assessment fee back which was C$95.00...and that's another thing every other company that I went to does not charge this 'assessment fee' only WeRecoverData.
