The owner/bartender/cook is one of the nicest people you will meet in Toronto. Always friendly with a smile on her face. We had the veggie platter which was amazing. Very nice Eritrean music as well. Highly recommended hidden gem

Amazing experience! We had the meat and veggie platter with orders of special tea. Everything came out timely and the staff were so warm and friendly. Excited to go back soon!

I visited a couple of times and every time I was actually met with disappointment. The food is really bad it doesn’t have any flavour to it. It’s tender, very salty and even some part of the Injera was bad like it has been there for more than a week or so. The atmosphere is bad it’s very loud and very discomforting. All in all I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go to this place.

I had high hopes for this place, but I wish I had just stayed home and eaten plain toast instead—it would’ve had more flavor. The injera was cold and oddly tough, like it had been left out for days. The stews? A disaster. Watery, bland, and somehow tasting both burnt and undercooked at the same time. I don’t know how that’s possible, but they managed. And the tibs? *Awful.* Dry, chewy, and so overcooked they tasted like they had been reheated three times. No seasoning, no flavor, just sadness on a plate. Service was slow, but honestly, I wouldn’t have minded if the food had been worth the wait. It wasn’t. For the price, I expected at least *something* to be decent, but no. Not a single redeeming factor. I left hungrier than when I came in, and now I have trust issues. Never again.

This place is very bad some people is just lucky on some days because they don’t work with a system you just have to pay good attention. Trust me no one there have food handlers certificate. They just do anything trust me so some people lucky sometimes based on who might be in the kitchen. I know this place very very well in and out. they have lamb on the menu but majority of the time they sell you cheap beef.

Me and my girlfriend have never tried Ethiopian food before, but have always wanted to. On our vacation in Toronto we decided to stop in. Both bar patrons and employees were very welcoming into a very clear family atmosphere. We ordered Veggie Platter and ChaCha with Beef. It was SO GOOD Flavor out of this world, you must stop by to enjoy the music, dancing and food!

"The ambiance and food are perfect for a night out. Aaron Julian's recommendations made our evening special!" All thanks to iSchoolWallet for the listing and discount :)

A friend of mine brought his dog inside and accidentally pooped on the floor, no big deal there was no need for a photo Aaron.
